特刊题目:Advanced biotechnologies for nutrient removal and recovery from wastewater

特刊简介: Activated sludge process is the most prevalent biotechnology for nutrient removal from urban and industrial wastewaters,but generally faces challenges including high aeration energy consumption, large-amount sludge production,and extra dose of carbon sources. Besides, nutrient recovery from high-strength wastewaters is crucial to sustainable water-energy-environment nexus. Recently, various advanced biotechnologies have been widely developed for efficient nutrient removal/recovery from wastewater,  such as anammox,partial nitrification, aerobic granular sludge,membrane bioreactor and bacteria-and-algae symbiotic system,etc. The aim of this special issue is to gather excellent work on the cutting-edge biotechnologies used for nutrient removal and recovery from wastewater.

活性污泥法是目前最流行的去除城市和工业废水中营养物的生物技术,但普遍面临曝气能耗高、污泥产生量大、碳源剂量超标等挑战。此外,从高强度废水中回收养分对可持续的水-能源-环境关系至关重要。近年来,厌氧氨氧化、部分硝化、好氧颗粒污泥、膜生物反应器、菌藻共生等先进的生物技术得到了广泛的发展。本期特刊的目的是收集用于废水中营养物去除和回收的尖端生物技术的优秀工作。
