Advancements in Renewable Energy Technologies for Carbon-Neutral Built Environments – Special issue for 4th Global Chinese Energy and Built Environment Conference

The 4nd Global Chinese Energy and Built Environment Conference will be held in Xi’an from August 1st to 4th, 2025. This conference aims to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, and policymakers to share their latest innovations and insights into energy and built environment solutions within the context of global initiatives towards carbon neutrality.
To showcase the scientific and technological advancements presented at this conference, we are pleased to announce a special issue on “Advancements in Renewable Energy Technologies for Carbon-Neutral Built Environments” in the Journal Renewable Energy. This special issue will feature selected, high-quality papers submitted to the conference, covering a range of topics that are critical to advancing renewable energy within the built environment. These topics include, but are not limited to:
Renewable energy
Energy efficiency
Phase change materials
Energy storage technologies
Sustainable heating and cooling
Advanced ventilation and contamination control
