It's officially Halloween week and although last weekend saw numerous Halloween happenings across the capital there are still even more spooky goings on around Beijing.

at Wild Kite
Wild Kite has some new food and drink specials on the menu for this year’s Halloween. They’ve got two new dishes: Beetroot and Salmon and a Magic Pumpkin Soup as well as some new beer releases which can be tried as a special Halloween tasting set. They’ve also got a variety of Halloween themed activities happening at both of their locations such as a luck draw and "feed the monster" challenge. You can read more details here.

Mental Hospital
Halloween Party at abboCCa
Italian eatery abboCCa are bringing the freaky vibes this year with their Mental Hospital Halloween Party on Nov 1. It promises to be night full of scares, thrills, and bloody good times. They’ll have a makeup artist on site to help create your scariest look and they’ll also have an array of spooky cocktails and "bloody" shots as well as eerie music and a best costume competition.

Halloween Party at Zarah
Zarah will be transforming into a haunted house on Nov 1. Expect creepy decorations like bats, ghosts and spiders along with live DJ sets playing spooky tunes to get you in the Halloween spirit. They will have all night specials on their Black Magic Gluehwein (RMB 50), special Halloween Shots (RMB 30), ROC Craft Cocktails (RMB 40) and draft beers: Jing-A & Mahou Lager (RMB 45). Turn up in a frightening costume and you’ll also get a free shot on the house.

Halloween Party
French restaurant La Maison Lyonnaise will transform into a Halloween wonderland on Nov 1 for their Halloween party. They’ll have DJ Jerry on the decks, a costume contest with some amazing prizes and a professional makeup artist to help you perfect your scary look. Plus, if you want plenty to drink while you’re enjoying the spooky atmosphere they’re doing a two hour free flow option for RMB 150.

Forno and Bottega
For the spooky season Forno have created a limited edition cocktail: the Walking Dead Spirit (RMB 69) which is a combination of white chocolate rum, sake, peach, pineapple, Oreo and vanilla all served in a zombie cup with a floating brain. Meanwhile, at Bottega they’ve crafted the Graveyard Brew (RMB 69) which mixes tequila, limoncello, thyme, prosecco and betroot in a glass finished with skull shaped ice cubes. On Oct 31 and Nov 1 both Forno and Botteaga will also be doing a Trick or Treat Aperitivo across their branches where there will be haunted cocktails and anyone who comes dressed up will receive free candy!
