MUSICACOUSTICA-HANGZHOU 2024 will be held from September 24th to September 29th at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. We are pleased to announce the call for works for the upcoming six electronic music concerts at MUSICACOUSTICA-HANGZHOU, which will showcase the latest achievements in the field of electronic music from around the world. We invite composers, musicians, and sound artists from all over the world to submit their electronic music works for consideration. The committee will select outstanding submitted works to be included in the performance program based on the unique characteristics of each concert session. Selected works will be presented in a 500-seat concert hall at Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. The state-of-the-art performance setting, including a 24-channel sound diffusion system and a high-definition LED screen, will ensure the presentation of diverse creative ideas and electronic music works to a high standard.
The call for works includes various forms such as fixed-media, instruments with electronics, multimedia compositions, interactive compositions, and other innovative formats. There is no limit to the length of the works, but it is recommended to be less than 15 minutes. The works should strive for innovation in form and demonstrate excellence in musicality and technicality. The specific details of the presentation of the works will be discussed and agreed upon between the composers and the technicians.
