2024.6.22雅思大作文It is a natural process for animal species to become extinct (e.g. Dinosaurs, dodos, etc.) There is no reason why people should try to prevent this from happening. Do you agree or disagree?
本周6.22的题目是论述类,题目很常规 ,新手烤鸭注意不要论述错误,因为人家问你同意不同意的是第二句“There is no reason why people should try to prevent this from happening. Do you agree or disagree?” 不是第一句的“It is a natural process for animal species to become extinct (e.g. Dinosaurs, dodos, etc.)”
The extinction of animal species, often perceived as a natural component of evolutionary processes is a phenomenon that some argue should not be impeded by human intervention. In my opinion, this perspective is misguided and that humanity has an obligation to prevent such extinctions.
I oppose the notion that people should not prevent animal species from becoming extinct, as the intricate web of interdependence among species forms a complex and vital biological chain,
where the extinction of one species can trigger a cascading effect that ultimately jeopardizes human survival. In a balanced ecosystem, each species fulfills a crucial role, whether as predator, prey, or symbiotic partner. The extinction of bees, for instance, which are vital pollinators, would not only impact the plants that rely on their services but also the animals and humans that depend on those plants for sustenance. This interconnectedness underscores the potential for the extinction of one species to disrupt entire ecosystems, thus necessitating human intervention to maintain ecological equilibrium.
Also, the idea of ignoring the extinction of certain animal species to advance human technology and civilization is misguided and detrimental. Throughout history, humans have derived invaluable insights from the diverse fauna that inhabit our planet, drawing inspiration from their unique adaptations and behaviors to drive innovation across myriad domains. From traditional medicine to the study of dragonfly aerodynamics in aviation and the butterfly effect in chaos theory, our co-inhabitants have consistently catalyzed scientific breakthroughs. Moreover, countless medical advancements have emerged from animal experimentation, underscoring the vital role these creatures play in expanding our understanding of biology and disease. The extinction of animal species would undoubtedly deprive humanity of essential sources of inspiration and hinder progress in technology and medicine.
Rather, I support that the principle of survival of the fittest dictates that species unable to adapt to environmental changes should naturally fade into extinction, thereby facilitating the evolution and emergence of new species. This process of natural selection, they contend, drives biodiversity and fosters resilience within ecosystems. The extinction of certain species has historically allowed others to flourish and evolve, resulting in a more adaptable and robust biosphere. By refraining from interfering with this natural process, we enable the course of evolution to enhance species diversity and ecological resilience.
In conclusion, ignoring the survival of other species endangers humanity and hampers progress, and I strongly disapprove of such opinions.
