In contemporary universities, it is a common phenomenon for a host of students to study in groups during class time and after class. Based on a survey, a majority of teachers and students acknowledge that they prefer this sort of learning due to its certain benefits.
Admittedly, an increasing number of youngsters today find it boring and difficult to learn by themselves alone. Then, it is group study that enables group members to have opportunities to interact, share and discuss with each other. Thus, learning becomes easier and more interesting. A case in point is me. Years ago, I had a variety of difficulties in learning English. So, my teacher, Sky, encouraged me to take part in group study. Participating in group study brings me stronger motivation, inspires my passion for knowledge, and helps me enhance learning efficiency.
I, as a college student, deem that if we intend to optimize group study, it is advisable for group members to adopt several measures. To begin with, we are supposed to establish clear objectives and assign roles. In addition, it is of great necessity for us to cultivate a friendly, positive and respectful atmosphere in group discussion, so that every voice is heard and valued.
