Thai-Singaporean singer Kittisak "Hun" Boonsan was assaulted by a man in Bangkok who accused him of having an affair with his girlfriend. The 23-year-old singer reported to the police that he had been dating a 29-year-old woman named Cream, a public relations officer for a restaurant, who had claimed to be single.

The incident unfolded at 1 a.m. on Monday, July 8, when Cream texted Boonsan, claiming she was drunk and needed a ride home from the restaurant. Boonsan picked her up and took her to her apartment in Nonthaburi, staying there until 4 a.m. When he tried to leave, he found himself unable to exit the condominium premises without a keycard. Boonsan called Cream, but a man named Q answered instead.

Q told Boonsan that he and Cream would bring the keycard to him. However, when Q arrived, he attacked Boonsan, delivering several punches. Drunk and unable to defend himself, Boonsan suffered bruises to his face and injuries to the back of his head, which required 10 stitches.

Due to his injuries, Boonsan was unable to work, and his record label subsequently canceled his contract to protect the company's image. Boonsan told the police that he had been unaware of Cream's existing relationship and would not have dated her if he had known. He added that the owner of the restaurant where Cream worked could corroborate his story.

"Q should have spoken with me and handled the situation calmly instead of resorting to violence. He should take responsibility for his actions," Boonsan said.

Q told Thai media that he had a brief quarrel with Cream but that they had never broken up. When he discovered that Boonsan had taken her home, he became enraged and attacked him.

Boonsan's mother, who traveled from Singapore to Thailand after the incident, expressed her anger at Q's actions. "I want to ask him, 'Why did you cause so much harm?'" she told Thai media. "They could have sat down and talked about it… It's unacceptable that something like this happened."

According to Shin Min Daily News, Boonsan leads a band named Hannah (transliteration). Both parties have since spoken through police mediation, and it was agreed that Q would pay Boonsan 50,000 baht ($1,460) as compensation. Q has requested a week to gather the money.
