The resurgence of multiple ethnic groups within a single state is not “potentially threatening to the sovereign jurisdiction of the state,” as Urban and Sherzer suggest.

1. What do Urban and Sherzer believe?

A. The resurgence of multiple ethnic groups within a single state potentially threatens the sovereign jurisdiction of the state
B. The resurgence of multiple ethnic groups within a single state potentially does not threaten the sovereign jurisdiction of the state

1. 万蜀黍 is not cute, Monica says.

2. 万蜀黍 is not cute, as Monica says.

“万蜀黍 is not cute, Monica says” 其实就是一个宾语从句位置的改变,本质上这个句子就是 “Monica says that 万蜀黍 is not cute”,而这个句子我们都应该能看懂Monica是不认为万蜀黍可爱的,这个 “not” 是引用的Monica观点的一个部分。

The resurgence of multiple ethnic groups within a single state is not “potentially threating to the sovereign jurisdiction of the state,” as Urban and Sherzer suggest.

The resurgence of multiple ethnic groups within a single state is not as “potentially threatening to the sovereign jurisdiction of the state” as Urban and Sherzer suggest

This obligation included both entertainment and instruction, which are not, says Baym, at odds with one another in these books.

This obligation included both entertainment and instruction.

Entertainment and instruction are not, says Baym, at odds with one another in these books.

Baym says that entertainment and instruction are not at odds with one another in these books.

Nor were these practices confined, as some scholars insist, to the latter and supposedly decadent phases of the art.

1.What do the scholars believe about the practices?

A. They are confined to the latter phases of the art.
B. They are not confined to the latter phases of the art?
