Individual gravity-flow oil return drain line(s) and/or header(s) from equipment housings shall run no more than half full if flowing at normal drain operating conditions, at maximum flow conditions;单独靠重力回流的排液管、或者集合管应该在最大流量情况下，都是半管流。have a continuous downward slope of not less than 4 % (40 mm per meter, 1/2 in. per foot) toward the reservoir;
单独靠重力回流的排液管、或者集合管应该有4%的坡度，坡向油箱。有些厂家，会将回油总管的坡度设置为3%，这是不符合要求的。
be self-venting with breather(s)/vent(s) at appropriate locations in the system;
单独靠重力回流的排液管、或者集合管应该在适当的位置通过呼吸阀自排气。防止因为排气产生真空，导致回流不畅have lateral branches (not more than one in any transverse plane) enter drain headers at approximate 45° angles in the direction of flow;
有支管通道header的话，应该是顺着流体流动方向45°。如下图1，回油支管垂直与回油总管连接是不对的。应该按照下图2执行，按照大约45°执行。
