本次比赛旨在帮助中低级的留学生夯实汉语学习基础，提高汉语学习积极性与汉语学习的兴趣，促使留学生们进一步体会到中国汉字的魅力。
Purpose: This contest aims to help international students build a strong foundation in Chinese, boost their enthusiasm and interest in learning, and encourage them to appreciate the beauty of Chinese characters.
参赛对象：2024秋学期在读101、102、201、202、301与302班级/级别汉语课的英文项目本科留学生和短期生，不包括401或者402级别以及免修不免考学生，不包括中文项目留学生。
Participants: Eligible participants include undergraduate and short-term students in English programs taking Chinese courses in classes 101, 102, 201, 202, 301, and 302 during the 2024 fall semester. Students in classes 401 or 402, those exempt from taking the courses but required to attend exams, and students in Chinese programs are excluded.

Senior students can consolidate their knowledge by preparing for contests ,Lower grade students can preview the Chinese content of next semesters by preparing for the contest. Check out the details below!
第1部分是生词听写，共50个汉字词。参赛者报名后，可以根据活动方提供的生词表(100个）提前准备。听写环节的50个词将全部从这100个词中随机抽选。
The first part is the dictation of a total of 50 Chinese words. After registration, participants can prepare in advance according to the new words list (100 pieces) provided by the organizer. The 50 words in the dictation session will all be randomly selected from these 100 words.
第2部分是汉语应用题型测试，题型模拟HSK3-5级基础题型，包括“为所给动词写出宾语”，“选词填空”，“看图并用所给词语造句”，“根据所给句型结构，补充句子或者对话”，“给词语排列顺序，组成完整句子”。（不必担心超纲，题型所涉及的生词和语法内容可参考所给的生词表）
The second part is the Chinese application ability test, the question types simulate the HSK3-5 exam, including "Write the object of the given verb", "fill in the blanks with words", "look at the picture and make a sentence with the given words", "according to the given sentence structure, supplement the sentence or dialogue", "arrange the words to form a complete sentence". (Don't worry about the overlink, the words and grammar involved in the question type can also refer to the new words list given by the organizer)
比赛结束后，将综合听写与应用能力测试两部分成绩，根据分数排名选出比赛一等奖（前5%），二等奖（前6%-15%），三等奖（前16%-30%）。
After the contest, the first prize(top 5%), second prize(top 6%~15%), third prize(top 16~30%) will be selected according to the scores of the two parts of the dictation and application ability test.
奖品与福利
参赛者将获得什么？
（1）获得一二三等奖的同学将获得相应比赛官方证书、比赛奖品和申请奖学金时获得相应加分；
（2）所有参赛者都将获得奖学金申请加分奖励和比赛奖品（参赛纪念品）。
Participants will receive?
(1) Students who won the first, second and third prizes will get the corresponding official certificate of the contest, prizes of gifts, and additional points when applying for scholarships;
(2) According to the ranking of the contest, all participants will acquire additional points when applying for scholarships(see table below) and receive the prizes of gifts.
