From October 31 to November 10, the Philadelphia Orchestra will embark on a domestic tour across several cities in China, including Haikou. This marks the first time since 2019 that the Philadelphia Orchestra has toured China with its full ensemble. Hainan Airlines has specially allocated a wide-body aircraft with "Haikou" livery to ensure the charter flight task for the Philadelphia Orchestra's visit to China. The "Haikou" livery features a maritime, leisurely, refreshing, and bright tone, incorporating elements such as sails and coconut trees, guided by waves to showcase Haikou's coastal tourism and cultural resources from multiple perspectives.
This performance marks the Philadelphia Orchestra's first visit to Haikou and is also a high-level cultural exchange activity between Hainan Province and the United States.
Hainan Airlines has prepared special Chinese-themed souvenirs for each musician, including Chinese musical instrument fridge magnets that convey the beauty of Eastern rhythm, airplane models symbolizing this special experience, and postcards carrying blessings.
