Carlos E. Ugalde-Loo教授简介：
Carlos E. Ugalde-Loo was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He is currently Professor of Electrical Power Systems at the School of Engineering and the Director of the Centre for Integrated Renewable Energy Generation and Supply (CIREGS). Prior to his academic role, he was a Research Assistant at Cardiff from 2010 until December 2012.
His research interests and academic expertise include power system stability and control, grid integration and control of renewables, HVDC transmission, DC technologies, modelling and control of integrated energy systems, modelling of dynamic systems, and multivariable control. He actively contributes to the 'Power Electronics and HVDC', 'Energy Infrastructure', and 'Smart Grids' research groups. He has supervised 22 PhD students to completion and is very active disseminating research through conference and journal papers. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles—several in top-tier Transactions-grade journals. He is an Associate Editor of IET Energy Systems Integration, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and has been Guest Editor for a number of journals.
