This Special Issue focuses on the digital and intelligent approaches necessary for successful EV integration into modern power systems. We seek research that explores predictive technologies for forecasting EV energy usage and grid demand, alongside novel evaluation frameworks that enhance system flexibility and resilience. These studies should delve into how smart energy management systems and predictive algorithms can optimize EV charging and discharging, enabling more efficient and reliable V2G interactions. Additionally, contributions addressing the dynamic flexibility of EVs to support fluctuating renewable energy input and the resilience of power systems under growing electrification are highly encouraged.
Key areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Advanced predictive algorithms for EV-grid energy forecasting
- Digital solutions for optimizing V2G and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) interactions
- Strategies for enhancing the flexibility and reliability of EVs in grid support
- Methodologies for evaluating the performance of intelligent energy systems integrating EVs
- Enhancing power system resilience through coordinated EV-grid integration
- Addressing cybersecurity risks associated with intelligent EV and grid systems
