反:感到不被理解>别人没有stand in your shoes > 降低belonging >犯罪/不cohesion

Some people think most crimes are the result of circumstances like poverty and other social problems. Others believe that they are caused by people who are bad in nature. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

People living in poverty cannot afford good quality  education, healthcare, and other essential resources. This disadvantage can make them feel that others cannot stand in their shoes to understand their struggles. Without this empathy, individuals are less likely to relate to others, weakening their sense of belonging to the society. This can reduce  their willingness to cooperate with others to contribute positively.  It would become difficult for them to find a job, as almost all jobs require some level of collaboration. As a result, they may turn to illegal means to obtain money.

Some people think that good health is very important to every person, so medical service should not be run by profit-making companies. Do the advantages of private healthcare outweigh the disadvantages?

Some people think it is a good thing for senior managers to have much higher salaries than other workers in a company. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

One reason why senior managers deserve higher salaries compared to ordinary employees is that their roles often demand a greater range of skills, responsibilities, and the ability to handle significant pressure. If they are offered higher compensation, they would believe that the company acknowledges their contributions and value, thus feeling that the company stands in their shoes. This process would improve their sense of belonging and relatability, which would make them more willing to cooperate with their colleagues and perform their duties with greater efficiency, benefiting the organization as a whole.

In today's world, people spend a lot of money on appearance because they want to look younger. Why does this happen? Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

>觉得别人stand in their shoes
>Relate

Many students find it harder to study when they are at university or college than when they were at school. Why is this? What can be done to solve the problem?
>觉得别人没有stand in their shoes
>无法relate to each other
>不能cooperate with  each other

Some people say that what children watch on TV influences their behaviour while others say the amount of time children spend watching TV influences their behavior. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

>觉得父母没有stand in their shoes

Some people think technology development decreases crime, while others believe it actually encourages crimes. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Those who believe that technological advancements reduce crime may put forth the following argument. There is no doubt that modern technology, especially the internet, has created opportunities for individuals to interact with people from different parts of the world. This exposure to diverse thoughts and cultures will make them be aware that such differences are norms and respect them, thus learning to stand in other people's shoes.
This process can cultivate their empathy. As empathy increases, people are more likely to relate to each other, which would enhance their sense of belonging in the society. This progress would reduce their possibility of engaging in criminal behaviors.

In the past, important knowledge about culture and history was stored in museums. Nowadays, information is freely available on the Internet; therefore, there is no longer any need for museums. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

>social skills

Some people think a job not only provides income but also social life. Others think it is better to develop a social life with people you do not work with. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

>empathy
>belonging
>cohesion

Some cities have vehicle-free days, when private cars, trucks, and motorcycles are banned from the city center. Public transportation like buses, taxis and metros are advised. To what extent do you think the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?
>更容易stand in their shoes
>empathy
>belonging
>cohesion
