This event will feature Dr. Daniel Cohan, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University, who will share key insights from his book Confronting Climate Gridlock: How Diplomacy, Technology, and Policy Can Unlock a Clean Energy Future (Yale University Press, 2022).
此次活动将邀请莱斯大学土木与环境工程系教授丹尼尔·科汉博士,他将分享其著作《应对气候僵局:外交、技术和政策如何开启清洁能源未来》(耶鲁大学出版社,2022年)中的关键见解。
Dr. Cohan will delve into the factors necessary to drive global efforts to combat climate change, including the interrelated roles of energy efficiency, decarbonized electricity, electrification, and clean fuels in the transition to a sustainable energy system. It will also stress the importance of learning by doing to reduce costs and speed up the adoption of clean energy technologies, focusing on the most critical technologies for development and deployment.
