This talk will highlight key insights from Dr. Cohan’s book Confronting Climate Gridlock: How Diplomacy, Technology, and Policy Can Unlock a Clean Energy Future (Yale University Press, 2022). The discussion will focus on what it takes to drive global efforts to mitigate climate change, including the interrelated roles of energy efficiency, decarbonized electricity, electrification, and clean fuels in the transition to a sustainable energy system.
此次讲座将重点介绍科汉博士在其著作《应对气候僵局：外交、技术和政策如何开启清洁能源未来》（耶鲁大学出版社，2022年）中的关键见解。讨论将聚焦于推动全球应对气候变化努力所需的因素，包括能源效率、去碳化电力、电气化和清洁燃料在向可持续能源系统转型中的相互作用。
It will also stress the importance of learning by doing to reduce costs and speed up the adoption of clean energy technologies, focusing on the most critical technologies for development and deployment.
