The Minister of Maritime Affairs Paid a Visit to Gwadar Port
2024年5月3日，巴基斯坦海事部长Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh、秘书Umar Zafar Sheikh访问瓜达尔港，并为瀚耕贸易公司进行开幕揭牌仪式。中国海外港口控股有限公司董事长于博、瓜达尔港务局主席Passand Khan Buledi陪同访问。
On May 3, 2024, Pakistan’s Minister of Maritime Affairs Mr.Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh and Under Secretary Mr.Umar Zafar Sheikh visited Gwadar Port and held an inauguration ceremony for Hangeng Trade Company. Mr.Yu Bo, Chairman of China Overseas Ports Holding Company Ltd., and Mr.Passand Khan Buledi, Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority, accompanied the visit.
海事部长首先听取了中国港控董事长于博、瓜达尔港务局主席Buledi就港口及自由区的运营情况汇报。部长先生对中国港控接手港口运营十一年来取得的建设成就表示赞许，并亲切地说自己曾数十次访问中国，是中国人民的老朋友；在港口运营过程中，需要巴基斯坦政府的任何支持，都将不遗余力地为瓜达尔港争取，并作为新一届政府的核心工作之一，大力推进。
The Minister of Maritime Affairs first listened to reports from Mr.Yu Bo,Chairman of COPHC and Mr. Buledi, Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority, on the operation of the port and free zone. Mr. Minister expressed his praise for the construction achievements made by COPHC in the eleven years since it took over the operation of the port, and said cordially that he has visited China dozens of times and is an old friend of the Chinese people; during the operation of the port, if any support from the Pakistani government is required, he will spare no effort to gain it for Gwadar Port and vigorously promote the operation as one of the core tasks of the new government.
随后，部长先生参观了中国援巴基斯坦新瓜达尔国际机场、中国南方商品展示交易中心、瓜达尔绿色生态科技有限公司组培实验室，及中国援巴基斯坦瓜达尔海水淡化厂，并指出这些项目不仅能为瓜达尔提供更便利的商业条件，而且能极大缓解当地居民的用水困难。
Subsequently, Mr. Minister visited the China-aided New Gwadar International Airport in Pakistan, the South China Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, the tissue cultivation laboratory of Gwadar Green Ecological Technology Co.Ltd.,and the China-aided Gwadar Seawater Desalination Plant in Pakistan, and pointed out that these projects can not only provide Gwadar with more convenient business facilitation and greatly alleviate the water shortage problem of local residents.
最后，部长先生为即将在瓜达尔自由区北区投产运营的瀚耕贸易公司进行开幕揭牌仪式。瀚耕贸易公司总经理张斌称，将立足瓜达尔当地，与中国港控等当地企业合作，有效促进当地民众就业，与当地民众共享企业发展成果。
Finally, Mr. Minister held the opening ceremony for Hangeng Trade Company, which will be put into operation in the North Free Zone. Zhang Bin, general manager of Hangeng Trade Company, said that the company is based in Gwadar and will cooperate with local companies such as COPHC to effectively promote employment for local people and share the development results with local people.
中国港控董事长于博称，去年中国成功举办第三届一带一路合作高峰论坛，特别强调打造升级版中巴经济走廊，并把发展农业和养殖业作为发展重点；瓜达尔港也将致力于此，促进中巴两国农业经贸往来，并确保发展成果惠及瓜达尔当地民众。
Yu Bo, Chairman of COPHC, said that the third Belt and Road Forum held in China last year for International Cooperation was a success, with special emphasis on building an upgraded version of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and focusing on the development of agriculture and breeding industries; Gwadar Port will also be committed to this, promoting agricultural economic and trade exchanges between China and Pakistan, and ensure that development results benefit the local people in Gwadar.
部长致辞称，中国在过去50年里取得巨大的发展成就，不仅推动了经济发展，而且把发展成果惠及广大民众，成功地帮助8.5亿中国人脱离贫困，这些都是巴基斯坦需要向中国学习的成功经验；巴基斯坦政府也将全力配合中方企业，打造升级版中巴经济走廊，将中巴经贸合作带向新高度。
The minister said in his speech that China has made tremendous development achievements in the past 50 years. It has not only promoted economic development, but also benefited the general public and successfully lifted 850 million Chinese people out of poverty. This is successful experience that Pakistan needs to learn from China; the Pakistani government will also fully cooperate with Chinese companies to build an upgraded version of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and bring China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation to a new height.
