On November 5, 2024, China Overseas Port Holding (Pakistan) Company Limited (COPHC) and Mass HRS, a human resources service company, jointly hosted a milestone seminar at Gwadar Port. The event aimed to delve into the future development direction of Gwadar and explore how policy support, investment guidance, and international cooperation could promote regional economic cooperation and boost economic development in Pakistan and the entire South Asia region. Yang Yundong, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi, Pakistan, and representatives from various Pakistani government departments attended the meeting.
瓜达尔政府代表沙法卡特·沙瓦尼（Shafaqat Shahwani）和伊姆兰·伊布拉欣（Imran Ibrahim）表示，政府将致力于把瓜达尔打造成为区域经济合作的新高地，介绍了瓜达尔港和自由区基础设施建设、政策优惠、投资环境优化等一系列吸引国内外投资者的措施。
Representatives from the Gwadar government, Shafaqat Shahwani and Imran Ibrahim, stated that the government is committed to making Gwadar a new highland for regional economic cooperation. They introduced a series of measures to attract domestic and foreign investors, including infrastructure construction of Gwadar Port and the Free Zone, policy preferences, and optimization of the investment environment.
瓜达尔工业区发展局（GIEDA）局长瓦卡斯·拉西（Waqas Lasi）、俾路支省渔业总局局长伊姆兰·伊布拉欣（Imran Ibrahim）、瓜达尔发展局局长沙法卡特·沙瓦尼（Shafaqat Shahwani）等，详细介绍了瓜达尔卡瓦特地区的3000英亩工业区、瓜达尔拥有的丰富海洋资源及鱼虾类养殖业的巨大潜力，以及瓜达尔未来发展的全面规划等。
Director of the Gwadar Industrial Estate Development Authority (GIEDA), Waqas Lasi, Director General of the Balochistan Fisheries Department, Imran Ibrahim, and Director of the Gwadar Development Authority, Shafaqat Shahwani, provided detailed introductions to the 3,000-acre industrial zone in Gwadar Katta, the rich marine resources of Gwadar, and the huge potential of fish and shrimp aquaculture, as well as the comprehensive planning for Gwadar's future development.
学术界和研究机构为瓜达尔的未来经济发展提供了科学分析和建议，探讨了如何通过科技创新和知识转移，推动瓜达尔经济结构升级；通过人才教育和培训，提升当地居民就业能力和生活质量。瓜达尔当地社区和民间组织代表表示，希望瓜达尔的发展成果能够惠及当地每一位居民，促进社会和谐与可持续发展，同时保护自然环境和文化遗产。
Academic and research institutions provided scientific analysis and suggestions for Gwadar's future economic development, discussing how to promote the upgrading of Gwadar's economic structure through technological innovation and knowledge transfer, and how to improve the employment capabilities and quality of life of local residents through education and training. Representatives of local communities and civil organizations in Gwadar expressed their hope that the development achievements of Gwadar could benefit every local resident, promote social harmony and sustainable development, while protecting the natural environment and cultural heritage.

One of the seminar organizers, representatives from Mass HRS, stated that talent cultivation and skill enhancement play a key role in Gwadar's future growth; the company will provide solid talent support for Gwadar's diversified economic development by optimizing human resource allocation. Yu Bo, Chairman of China Overseas Port Holding Company, in his speech, demonstrated the important role of Gwadar Port under the "Belt and Road" initiative and its significant role in promoting regional interconnectivity and trade. He elaborated on the past decade of China Port's operation of Gwadar Port, which has been committed to improving the operational efficiency and service quality of Gwadar Port, attracting international investment, and injecting new momentum into Pakistan's economic development. He also introduced to government officials and investors the various potential and opportunities of Gwadar Port and the Free Trade Zone under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
中国驻巴基斯坦卡拉奇总领馆杨云东总领事发表了视频讲话。他表示，瓜达尔港是中巴经济走廊的龙头项目和地区互联互通的重要节点。中巴两国企业在港口、物流、农业等领域合作取得显著进展，中方援助的瓜达尔职业培训中心、海水淡化厂和友谊医院等设施为当地居民提供了技能培训和就业机会，改善了生活质量。希望瓜达尔新国际机场早日成为区域互联互通的重要枢纽。中方持续开展“小而美”民生项目，造福当地民众。希巴方着力改善瓜达尔安全环境。
Consul General Yang Yundong of the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi, Pakistan, delivered a video speech. He stated that Gwadar Port is the flagship project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and an important node for regional interconnectivity. Significant progress has been made in cooperation between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises in ports, logistics, agriculture, and other fields. Facilities such as the Gwadar Vocational Training Center, desalination plant, and Friendship Hospital, aided by China, have provided local residents with skill training and employment opportunities, improving the quality of life. He expressed hope that the new Gwadar International Airport would soon become an important hub for regional interconnectivity. China continues to carry out "small and beautiful" livelihood projects to benefit the local people. He hopes that the Pakistani side will focus on improving the security environment in Gwadar.
通过各参与主体的共同努力，本次研讨会不仅加深了对瓜达尔未来发展的认识，也为实现瓜达尔成为地区互联互通贸易枢纽的愿景奠定了坚实的基础。
Through the joint efforts of all participants, this seminar not only deepened the understanding of Gwadar's future development but also laid a solid foundation for realizing the vision of Gwadar becoming a regional hub for interconnectivity and trade.
