Ambassador to Pakistan of China Jiang Zaidong Visits Gwadar Port
2023年12月3日至4日，中国驻巴基斯坦大使姜再冬率团出席中国援助巴基斯坦瓜达尔海水淡化厂和中巴友谊医院竣工仪式，期间访问考察瓜达尔港，中国驻巴基斯坦使馆经商参赞李勇等访团成员、中国海外港口控股有限公司董事长于博及瓜达尔港务局主席Passand Khan Buledi陪同考察。
From December 3 to 4, 2023, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong led a delegation to visit Gwadar Port and attended the completion ceremony of the China-aid Gwadar Seawater Desalination Plant Project and Pak-China Friendship Hospital, along with China’s Commercial Counselor in Pakistan Li Yong, Chairman of China Overseas Ports Holding Company Ltd. Yu Bo and Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority Passand Khan Buledi.
姜再冬大使首先出席了中国援助巴瓜达尔海水淡化厂和中巴友谊医院竣工仪式，并与巴基斯坦卡卡尔总理为这两个项目竣工揭牌。他表示，瓜达尔海水淡化厂和中巴友谊医院都是中国政府援助项目，将帮助当地民众过上美好生活，这正是中方推进中巴友好合作，特别是中巴经济走廊建设的出发点和落脚点。今年10月，习近平主席同卡卡尔总理在北京会面，达成重要共识。中方愿同巴方一道，深入贯彻双方领导人达成的共识，推动共建增长、民生、创新、绿色、开放走廊。在此过程中，中方将继续加大对包括瓜港在内的俾路支省的发展民生投入，进一步促进两国人民的友好交流往来。
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong attended the completion ceremony of the China-aid Gwadar Seawater Desalination Plant and the Pak-China Friendship Hospital, and inaugurated the completion of these two projects with Pakistani Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar. He said that the Gwadar desalination plant and the Pak-China Friendship Hospital completed today were funded from the Chinese government and will help local people live a better life. This is exactly what China is promoting; China-Pakistan friendly cooperation, especially the construction of the economic corridor. We are willing to work with Pakistan to thoroughly implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar when they met in Beijing in October this year, and to promote the upgraded version of CPEC which features joint construction, promoting growth, improving people's livelihood, innovation, green and openness. In this process, we will continue to step up efforts in investing in the development of people's livelihood in Balochistan, including Gwadar, further promote friendly exchanges between the two peoples by organizing more local delegations to visit China.
姜再冬大使一行详细了解了瓜达尔港和自由区建设运营情况，考察了新建成的中国南方商品交易中心和瓜达尔海水淡化厂，组织召开瓜达尔地区中资企业座谈会，参观中巴友谊林并亲手种下中巴友谊之树。
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and his delegation first visited the port and knew in detail the current status of the port's equipment, cargo capacity, workforce, future plans, etc., and then appraised Free Zone enterprises such as the South China Exhibition and Commodity Trading Center and the new desalination plant.
中国援建的瓜达尔海水淡化厂坐落于瓜达尔自由区，设计生产能力为5000吨/每天，投入运营后将有效改善瓜达尔当地用水短缺的状况。姜再冬大使详细了解了海水淡化的生产流程，与大家共同品尝了刚生产出来的淡化水，他表示，淡化水的水质很好，很甜美，今后在生产中一定要严把质量和安全关。
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong visited the newly completed China-aid Gwadar seawater desalination plant. The plant is located in the Gwadar Free Zone and has a designed production capacity of 5,000 tons per day. Once put into operation, it will effectively alleviate the local water shortage. Ambassador Jiang Zaidong carefully inspected the production process of seawater desalination and tasted the newly produced desalinated water with everyone. He said: “The quality of the desalinated water is very good and very sweet. In the future, quality and safety must be strictly controlled in production.”
在瓜达尔港中资企业座谈会上，中国港控、自由区入园企业和援助项目建设单位逐一汇报了经营情况，姜再冬大使对所有中资企业和中方人员的辛勤付出表示亲切的慰问，对十年来在极端艰难的条件下，港口和自由区取得的发展成就表示赞赏，对瓜达尔港、自由区，以及各中资企业和建设项目的未来发展提出了具体工作要求。
At the symposium of Chinese enterprises in Gwadar Port and COPHC, entrepreneurs of Free Zone enterprises and construction project units reported their operations and construction status individually. Ambassador Jiang Zaidong expressed condolences cordiality to all Chinese enterprises and personnel for their hard work, spoke positively of the development achievements of the port and Free Zone in the past ten years under extremely difficult conditions, and made requirements for the future development of Gwadar Port, Chinese enterprises and projects.
中巴友谊林是“中国大使绿色就业计划项目”的重点内容，由“一带一路”热带干旱经济林工程技术研究中心提供树种，累计种植适合热带干旱地区的植物4000余颗，并向瓜达尔当地推广种植。姜再冬大使一行参观瓜达尔中巴友谊林并亲手栽下中巴友谊之树。
The China-Pakistan Friendship Forest is a key component of the "Chinese Ambassador's Green Employment Plan Project". Tree species are provided by the Belt and Road Engineering Research Center for Tropical Arid non-wood Forest. More than 4,000 plants suitable for tropical arid areas have been planted and the planting has been promoted to Gwadar. Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and his delegation visited the China-Pakistan Friendship Forest in Gwadar and planted the tree that symbolizes China-Pakistan Friendship.
