目标及范围

Urban areas are increasingly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, necessitating innovative strategies to enhance resilience and sustainability. This special issue, “Nature-based Urban Climate, Livable and Health Solution,” seeks to explore the integration of nature-based solutions (NbS) in urban environments to mitigate climate risks while promoting, livable and public health and well-being. This special issue invites interdisciplinary research and case studies that examine the efficacy of NbS in addressing urban climate challenges and their co-benefits for human health. Key topics include the design, implementation, and monitoring of NbS, their role in climate adaptation and mitigation, health impact assessments, policy frameworks, and socio-economic considerations. By advancing the understanding of how NbS can be leveraged to create healthier and more resilient cities, this issue aims to inform policymakers, urban planners, and public health professionals, ultimately contributing to sustainable urban development and improved quality of life. Contributions will include original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that collectively offer a comprehensive overview of current advancements and future directions in the application of nature-based solutions to urban climate and health challenges.
