The Laboratory of Nanomedicine and Immunoengineering was established in the fall of 2019 at the University of Kentucky. Our research spans across the expansive domains of nanobiotechnology, genome editing, immunoengineering, and cancer therapy. With a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and the integration of state-of-the-art methodologies, we strive to unravel the mysteries of disease processes and design targeted interventions that hold promise for transformative medical breakthroughs
The nanomedicine laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Kentucky is recruiting a Ph.D. student with full scholarship support in Spring 2025.
Application procedure: Please send your CV and transcripts to Prof. Sheng Tong (sheng.tong@uky.edu) for the initial evaluation. Screening will start immediately. The deadline for 2025 Spring admission is September 15, 2024.
Requirements: Minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based). The minimum IELTS score is 6.5. GRE exams are exempted. An overall grade point average of 3.0 in undergraduate coursework is required. Background and research experience in cell/molecular biology, immunology are highly preferred.
