职责说明
●在实验室负责人领导下,独立承担并高质高效地完成科研项目任务;
●以定量相位成像技术及其应用为导向开展研究,产生高水平科研成果,例如顶级期刊论文或可转化技术专利;
●积极配合科研项目申请书准备;
●高度配合完成项目节点任务与报告;
●指导和培训初级研究人员,协助实验室科研建设。

实验室介绍:激光计量与生物医学实验室拥有完善的光学成像与测量实验硬件,包括飞秒激光器、深紫外激光光源、超连续激光光源、光纤激光器、超高速相机、高灵敏度相机、短波红外相机、高分辨率数字微镜器件、空间光调制器、长工作距离高数值孔径物镜、高精度光学平台等;此外,还具备细胞培养平台、高性能计算机与显卡、全自动显微镜等基础研究科研设备。研究领域涉及无标记光学显微成像、定量相位显微、干涉显微测量、光学衍射层析成像、超分辨显微成像、计算光学成像及其在活体生物与纳米材料检测领域的应用开发。实验室具备国际化视野,与美国麻省理工学院、美国斯坦福大学、新加坡南洋理工大学、浙江大学等高校实验室已建立了长期且密切的合作。此外,实验室所在的香港中文大学环境优雅,俯瞰吐露港,是全港最宽广、最绿意盎然的校园。为满足学习与生活所需,校内有齐备的设施,包括一流的图书馆,另有文物馆、音乐厅、游泳池、运动场、网球场、壁球场、水上活动中心和健身室等;所在生物医学工程专业在2023年世界大学学术排名名列全球TOP 20,近3年来稳居香港第一。
课题组负责人介绍:周仁杰,香港中文大学生物医学工程学系副教授(终身教授),激光计量与生物医学实验室主任,国家自然科学基金优秀青年科学基金获得者(2024年)。现为中国激光杂志社香港分社副秘书长,OPTICA与SPIE学会高级会员;对定量相位显微(QPM)与光学衍射层析成像(ODT)进行了系统而深入的研究。发表SCI论文60余篇,包括通讯或第一作者(含共同)发表于Nature Photonics、Light: Science & Applications、Advanced Photonics、Lasers & Photonics Review等高水平期刊,最高单篇研究论文被引466次;发表国际会议论文50余篇,做国际会议特邀报告20余次,大学/科研机构邀请报告30余次;申请/获批11项美国/中国/国际专利。现担任IEEE Photonics Technology Letters、JOSA A、International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing期刊编委, IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging等期刊特刊编委;担任国际会议光学成像主题研讨会/分会联合主席或编委20余次,包括SPIE Quantitative Phase Imaging、Emerging Digital Micromirror Device Based Systems and Applications等。荣获2019年度500万港币“裘槎前瞻科研大奖”;早前于多家光学领域世界前沿科研机构从事相关研究工作,包括麻省理工学院G. R. Harrison光谱实验室、伊利诺伊大学尔巴纳-香槟分校Beckman 研究所、亚利桑那大学James Wyant光学中心等,期间荣获SPIE 2012 Optics & Photonics Education Scholarship、P. D. Coleman 研究优秀奖、Yuen T. Lo研究优秀奖、Beckman Institute Fellowship等奖励。
Immediate Postdoc openings from LAMB@CUHK
The Laser Metrology and Biomedicine (LAMB) Lab (https://www.lambcuhk.org) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has multiple immediate postdoc openings. Interested applicants should have a solid research track record, as evidenced by publishing high-profile research papers as the leading author, in the following areas: (i) quantitative phase microscopy; (ii) advanced light microscopy techniques; (iii) automation and precision instrumentation; (iv) image processing, machine-learning, and computer vision; and (v) biomedical imaging. Candidates with a strong passion for developing cutting-edge imaging technologies are highly encouraged to apply. We offer highly competitive salaries to successful candidates (~ 420,000 to 550,000 HKD/year, ~ 54,000 to 70,000 USD/year). Lab Introduction: Our lab is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for optical imaging with support from HK ITC and RGC, Croucher Foundation, NSFC and MOST of China and CUHK, including advanced laser sources, scientific cameras, spatial light modulators and digital micromirror devices, commercial light microscopes, GPU workstations, cell culture facility, etc. Our research areas include label-free imaging, quantitative phase microscopy, optical diffraction tomography, super-resolution microscopy, computational imaging, and their applications in biomedicine and material testing. We have developed close collaborations with many labs at MIT, Stanford University, Nanyang Technological University, Zhejiang University, etc. Besides, CUHK has a beautiful campus, overlooking the Tolo Harbour, with comprehensive facilities including top-tier libraries, art museums, concert halls, sport fields, swimming pools and fitness centers. Our Biomedical Engineering program has been consistently ranked top globally in recent years.
About the PI: Renjie Zhou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at CUHK, where he directs the Laser Metrology and Biomedicine Laboratory. He received a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014, followed by a postdoctoral training at MIT before joining CUHK in 2027. His research interest is mainly in quantitative phase imaging and optical diffraction tomography and their applications. He has published over 60 journal papers, including Nature Photonics, Light: Science & Applications, Advanced Photonics, Lasers & Photonics Review as the first/corresponding author, as well as filed over 10 International/US/China patents with several licensed to industry. He has been involved in organizing > 20 international conferences as co-chairs/committee members, delivered >40 conference invited talks and seminars/colloquiums, and reviewed for >30 international journals. He is currently serving on the editorial boards of JOSA A, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, and International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing. During 2023-2024, he served as the Assistant Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Engineering at CUHK. He is a Senior Member of Optica and SPIE. He received the Croucher Innovation Awards in 2019 from the Croucher Foundation and the Excellent Young Scientists Fund from National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2024.
