Thrilled to announce that I will be joining CiNet (Center for Information and Neural Networks; cinet.jp/english/) in Osaka Japan to start my lab in April/May 2025! We have postdoc positions (1 open NOW) & PhD apps (Osaka U) possible.
We'll do neuroimaging & computational work on a range of topics: category/concept learning, memory consolidation, cognitive control (hippocampus, inf/ant temporal lobe, PFC). We have great facilities (3x MRI scanners, 7T MRI, MEG, TMS, TUS, OPM) & comp resources (GPUs).
POSTDOC position: cognitive and/or computational neuroscientist to study how learning of new concepts and categories leads to long-term semantic concepts using multi-session fMRI & comp modelling (hippocampal-cortical interactions). Listing 2024R-148:

JSPS fellowships: There are also JSPS fellowships (https://jsps.go.jp/english/e-fellow/) available for up to 2 years, with a more flexible timeline to start and research project on learning, memory, cognitive control, and modelling.

PhD applications are also possible through the Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences Osaka University https://fbs.osaka-u.ac.jp/en/. Those with a Master's degree can go through the 3-year program.
