Attorney General Andrea Campbell’s political committee is seeking a qualified Communications Manager to manage the committee’s press requests; staff political interviews; execute the committee’s social media, digital and email program; draft and send statements and press releases on behalf of the committee; and maintain reporter relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Senior Political Advisor to develop and implement a communications strategy for the Attorney General’s political work, driving earned media coverage and emphasizing message continuity across all communications platforms.
With counsel from Senior Political Advisor and other staff, oversee all of the committee's media requests, press releases, op-eds, public statements, speeches, talking points, presentations, media advisories, briefings, and proactive story pitches.
Requirements
Minimum of 2+ cycles of campaign experience or 2+ years of public communications experience.
Experience engaging with reporters on the record.
Ability to manage an engaging and creative digital and email program.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including attention to detail and positive attitude – and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
Willingness to travel throughout Massachusetts, as needed (must live in Massachusetts).
Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends (as needed).
Ties to Massachusetts are welcomed, but not required.
