Independently generate leads in fixed income buy-side strategies globally, including sovereign, credit, structured products, relative value, private credit, etc. Be responsible for in-depth, all-around due diligence and research (both investment and operational) on public and private fixed income funds globally. Liaise with Risk, Operations and other departments on fixed income implementation and post investment monitoring. Provide timely market research on interest rate and credit market to support CIO on asset allocation decisions. Develop and maintain necessary tools to facilitate continuous research and portfolio construction process. Periodically produce high quality written fixed income market insights. Assist in communications with existing clients and prospects.
Graduate or above from reputable academic institutions; economics, finance or math background preferred 5-10 years working experiences as research or investment related roles with strong fixed income, structured lending and credit background (e.g. government and corporate bonds, swaps, CDS, ABS, CLO and other derivatives and structured products). Hands-on experience on product formation, structuring, market research, and execution. Experience with Global fixed income market is a must. Overseas working experience is a plus. Prime Brokerage hedge fund coverage and manager due diligence / onboarding / engagement experience is a plus. Familiarity with various fixed income strategies e.g. discretionary, relative value, ETFs. Have A good network in ecosystem (PB, cap intro, manager networks, consulting advisors) to support lead generation. Logical, first-principled, independent and risk-minded thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities A natural self-starter with global aspiration and the commitment and desire to break out of comfort zones for new initiatives, with ability to handle projects under time pressure. Good team player, who will be able to fit in an entrepreneurial but collaborative style. English is the primary working language. Mandarin speaker is not mandatory.
