Dr. Shan received his BSc and MSc from Southeast University and obtained his PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a Research Assistant Professor in Research Institute for Smart Energy (RISE) and Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering.
His work focuses on the development of building energy efficient technologies, particularly advanced optimal control of HVAC systems considering practical issues. Many of his published work have been validated and permanently applied in real building energy systems. He is willing to take Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Associates/Assistants.
Research Interests：
Adaptive and fault tolerant optimal online control of large and complex HVAC systems;
Optimal design and control of cleanroom energy systems;
Demand limiting and demand response control of building energy systems;
Design, control of building energy systems considering uncertainties;
Smart metering and IoT technologies for buildings;
Building energy performance assessment.
