—— Loyal Party Soldier Junge Tong
Junge Tong, a proactive member of the Communist Party of China from the 2023 cohort of the International Economics and Trade major at the School of Finance and Trade, currently serves as the captain of the Pioneer Camp Civilization Inspection Team and a teaching assistant at Wenzhou Business College. From his military career to returning to campus, he has always demonstrated unwavering faith and a sense of responsibility in fulfilling his loyalty to the Party and the people.
One. Military Career: Forging Iron Will
Two years in the military were undoubtedly an extraordinary experience for Junge Tong. From September 2021 to September 2023, he served in the Fifth Brigade of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Marine Corps, holding positions such as gunner, driver, communicator, and vice squad leader. Through rigorous military training, he learned to remain calm in the face of challenges and unleash his potential under extreme conditions.
During this period, his fearless spirit and steely resolve enabled him to complete arduous tasks and earn the honor of being an "Outstanding Soldier of the Four Haves." Whether steadfastly performing duties at combat posts or overcoming adversities, Junge showcased the noble qualities and patriotic spirit of a Chinese soldier.
Two. Returning to Campus: Mission Unchanged
After his discharge from military service, Junge did not waver in his mission despite the change in identity. Instead, he strengthened his beliefs and sense of purpose. Returning to campus as a veteran, he continued to serve as a military training instructor at Wenzhou Business College, completing two cohorts of military training duties and earning the title of "Outstanding Instructor" twice. His leadership led freshmen to achieve the honor of "Advanced Company" during training.
Integrating the refined skills and discipline from military life into campus activities, Junge embodies the true meaning of "retirement without fading." By holding himself to high standards and leading by example, he has fostered collective awareness among freshmen and spread positive energy through teamwork.
Three. Academic Journey: Writing New Chapters of Glory
Returning to academia marked a new beginning and challenge for Junge. Leveraging his strengths, he achieved significant accomplishments. As a member of the School of Finance and Trade, he actively participated in various school events, excelling in group activities, debates, sports meets, and creative marketing competitions. His leadership and execution skills, honed during his military career, enabled him to serve as a role model for his peers.
As the captain of the Pioneer Camp Civilization Inspection Team, Junge demonstrated strong responsibility and a sense of mission, leading retired university students to efficiently complete various tasks. His efforts in maintaining campus order, curbing inappropriate behaviors, and fostering a healthy and positive campus environment exemplified the precision and pragmatism of a soldier, coupled with leadership skills and a commitment to collective well-being.
Four. Engaging with Society: Achieving New Milestones
Despite a busy campus life, Junge actively participated in city and district-level social events. He joined activities such as the Wenzhou Marathon and the second Veterans’ Sports Games of Ouhai District, where his resilience, discipline, and team spirit showcased the valor of a veteran.
At the second Veterans’ Sports Games of Ouhai District, his team, representing Chashan Subdistrict, earned second place, affirming not only his individual excellence but also the continued contribution of veterans to society.
Through his actions, Junge demonstrates the core values of "loyalty, responsibility, and dedication" inherent in Chinese soldiers. Whether in work, study, or social activities, he continually challenges himself and advances with determination. His enthusiasm and efficiency contribute to social progress, bringing powerful positive energy to his school and community.
