My Views on Filming Short Videos on Campus

Hello, everyone. Lately, I have begun noticing more and more that our classmates like to record themselves and others around them while on campus to vlog about their lives as a student in our school and share on their social media. While some among us may think that this activity is sacrilegious and unneeded on campus grounds, let alone disregarding the privacy of those that were filmed without permission. However, I believe that if could address the privacy concerns by enforcing a rule that requires the vloggers to either seek permission from those captured on their videos, or blur out their faces, such an activity can help bolster a strong campus spirit. After all, what inspires a more positive campus environment than students sharing their joy and laughter while at school?

PRO:
The utilization of mobile devices to film, edit, and produce short clips on campus allows students to efficiently integrate their paradigms into our modern technological advancement. Playing catch-up with the rate of how hardware and software emerge in our current world is a futile pursuit if one does not adapt to the time. Thus, with the information revolution, it is crucial that the bare minimal standard of public education be one that allows students to familiarize themselves with the application of cellphone filming in school.
WORD: 85

CON:
The biggest drawback of allowing physiologically immature brains to be given hyperstimulation from working with electronic devices is potentially opening the gateway to electronic addiction. The act of filming short films is neutral, but the allowance of accessing their digital device means the susception towards their preconditioned tendencies with these convenient tools emerges. Thus, applying the same logic, if one has precautionary and preventative measures towards sobjects of potential harm that are dangerous to minors but socially acceptable to adults, then cellphone usage should be considered as equally sensitive.

下水作文:

With the rising popularity of social media, more and more young people film short videos to document their lives, including on campus. While this trend may be appealing, it raises privacy concerns as well as exposes ourselves to the online judgements.

I urge my peers to be mindful and vigilant when filming their lives and sharing them online. Not only is it time-consuming to create content, but also we render ourselves susceptible to online criticism as well as possible malicious acts. Let’s focus on real-life interactions with friends and prioritize our studies.

下水作文:

As technologies and internet platforms become more integrated into our daily lives, many of my peers begin to bring their mobile devices to school and use it to film short videos and upload them onto social media platforms. While I enjoy many of the videos they made and support them for expressing themselves, there are also things to keep in mind. In addition to being a distraction for the school’s learning environment, it can be a safety hazard in terms of harming the privacy of others.
