人工智能如何从数字世界走向物理世界?

9月25日,物联网学院在SIP校区举办了一场引人入胜的分享会,物联网助理教授董彧佶博士带领大一新生一起探讨了“人工智能如何从数字世界走向物理世界?”这一富有内涵的话题。

On September 25th, School of IoT held a captivating information session at the SIP campus. Dr. Yuji Dong led the Y1 students in a discussion on the profound topic of " How does AI move from cyber world to physical world? "

在分享会上,董老师从科幻电影里对于人工智能的终极想象着手,引导学生们讨论了人工智能未来可能的发展。他巧妙地引出了可能使人工智能发展为一种具有革命性生产力工具背后的关键技术——物联网。物联网作为可供人工智能使用的一种基础设施,可以为人工智能提供感知,联结与控制的能力,这是人工智能介入与改变物理世界的基础,是人工智能的身体。

During the information session, Dr. Dong started with the ultimate imagination of artificial intelligence in science fiction movies to guide students in discussing the potential future development of AI. He skillfully introduced the key technology that could enable the development of artificial intelligence into a revolutionary productive force tool - the Internet of Things (IoT). As an infrastructure available for AI, the Internet of Things can provide AI with the capabilities of perception, connection, and control, which are the foundations for AI to intervene and change the physical world and are the body of artificial intelligence.




董老师解释了现有人工智能的算法与性能虽然发展迅速,但应用仍旧处在初期,大多数仍旧被作为一个聊天工具使用,还没有具备引发产业与生产力革命的能力。人工智能需要具备物联网基础设施这样的身体,才能更加发挥它的智慧,改造世界。这样的一个发展过程将会需要大量的应用开发与运维的工程师,创造行业发展与就业机会,这都是一些时代的机会。他也同样分享了一些自己的科研项目与工作,介绍了正在建设的新的物联网范式:主动协作;将生成式人工智能引入到物联网设备里,使他们具有智慧判断和与其他设备和人进行协作的能力。

Dr. Dong explained that although the algorithms and performance of existing artificial intelligence have developed rapidly, their applications are still in the early stages, and most are still used as chat tools, not yet possessing the ability to cause industrial and productive revolutions. Artificial intelligence needs to have a body like the infrastructure of the Internet of Things to better exert its intelligence and transform the world. Such a development process will require a large number of engineers for application development and operations and maintenance, creating opportunities for industry development and employment, all of which are opportunities of the times. He also shared some of his own research projects and work, introducing the new paradigm of the Internet of Things under construction: Active Collaboration; introducing generative artificial intelligence into IoT devices, enabling them to have the ability to make intelligent judgments and collaborate with other devices and people.

在这场分享会结束的时候,学生提了很多关于人工智能与物联网发展的问题, 未来升学与就业的问题,体现了同学们关心科技进步发展,关注时代潮流的积极心态。董老师对各种问题做了一一解答或观点分享,并欢迎大家关注物联网学院的科研与项目机会。

At the end of the information session, students asked many questions about the development of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, as well as future education and employment, reflecting the students' positive attitude of caring about technological progress and paying attention to the trends of the times. Dr. Dong answered each question or shared his views, and welcomed everyone to pay attention to the research and project opportunities at the School of Internet of Things.
