Campus Safety Guidelines for 

International Students

    1.严格遵守学校的各项规章制度以及公寓管理规定；

International students must strictly abide by the university rules and regulations on accommodation;

    2.自觉维护公寓卫生，并接受管理人员的定期检查；

All the students must keep the dorm well-organized and cleanand cooperate with the dormitory staff for regular inspection;

    3.严格遵守作息制度，自觉按时熄灯就寝。严禁晚10:30后在楼内大声喧哗、哄闹，使用音响、电脑干扰他人休息；

All the students must strictly abide by the schedule of work and rest.Please keep the dormitory quiet after 22:30,behavior like making noise,speaking loudly,and using stereos and laptops to disturb others is prohibited;

    4.严禁在宿舍内抽烟，以防火灾发生；

It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the dormitory to prevent fires;

    5.在公寓内妥善保管好个人贵重物品及身份证件，现金存入银行，离开房间时锁好门窗。

Lock the doors and windows when you leave your room. Keep your valuable things and personal ID carefully . You are advised to deposit cash in the bank.

    1.学生严禁在宿舍内做饭，留学生应到公共厨房做饭，注意公共厨房用电安全，垃圾及时清理，保持公共厨房卫生干净整洁；

Cooking in your room is prohibited.International students should cook in the public kitchens, pay attention to electrical safety.Garbage should be cleaned up in a timely manner and keep the kitchens clean;

    2.烹饪时不要离开厨房，保持对食物的监控，避免油温过高引起火灾。

Do not leave the kitchen while cooking , keep a close eye on thefood, and avoid high oil temperatures that can cause fires.

     1.安全使用电器，离开房间时及时关闭电源；

Use electrical appliances properly and turn off electrical equipment when leaving dorms;

     2.不乱扔烟头，不在房间内使用蜡烛等明火；

Do not throw cigarette butt everywhere. Open fire such as candlesindoors is forbidden;

     3.不挪用和损坏消防器材，不堵塞消防通道；

Do not move or break fire extinguishers. Do not block Fire Engine Access;

     4.公寓内生活垃圾应及时清除，不得乱堆乱放，以防成为潜在引火源；

Students should clear away the rubbish in time and should not put them randomly to prevent fires;

     5.火灾来袭时，用湿毛巾捂住鼻子向安全地方撤离；

When a fire strikes, cover your nose with a wet towel and evacuate to a safe place;

     6.穿越浓烟逃生时，要尽量使身体贴近地面，以免窒息；

When escaping through thick smoke, try to keep your body close to the ground to avoid suffocation;

     7.牢记宿舍逃生路线，火灾发生时不要使用电梯。

Keep in mind the dormitory EXIT route and do not use the elevator in the event of a fire.

    1.校内交通。在校内行走时，请注意来往车辆，避免随意穿行。

1.Campus Traffic. When walking on campus, please pay attention to the vehicles coming and going, and avoid crossing indiscriminately. When cycling or using an electric bicycle,control your speed and follow traffic rules. Dismount and walk your vehicle when entering or exiting the university gate. Park your vehicles in designated areas to avoid indiscriminate parking.

     2.校外交通。外出时，请务必注意交通安全，自觉遵守交通法规。尽量选择出租车、公交车等交通工具，严禁骑乘摩托车或电动车，不得违规载人。

2.Off-campus Transportation. When traveling outside the university, observe traffic safety and comply with regulations. Choosing transportation such as taxis and buses is recommended.Riding a motorcycle or electric bicycle is prohibited and avoid carrying passengers.

    1.严格遵守中国法律、法规，注意人身和财产安全，防止各种事故发生；

International students must strictly abide by the Chinese laws and regulations. All the students must pay attention to personal safety and property to prevent the occurrence of accidents;

     2.外出需提前请假，并与老师、同学保持联系；

When you have plans to travel outside of Zhengzhou, you need to keep your classmates, friends, counselors, and teachers updated;

     3.发生任何事故应立即与学院或留学生科相关负责老师取得联系；

In the event of any accidents, you should immediately contact the relevant teacher from your school and SIE;

     4.不要轻易相信不明传单、宣传资料、陌生人电话等；

Do not easily believe unknown leaflets, promotional materials, phone calls from strangers, etc.;

     1.严格遵守中国法律、法规和学校关于网络使用的各项规定，不得登录非法网站、传播有害信息；

Students should strictly abide by the provisions of Chinese laws, regulations, and the university’s regulations when surfing the Internet. Students must not access illegal websites and spread harmful information;

     2.网络聊天时，避免使用真实姓名，不轻易向对方泄露个人信息；

When chatting online, avoid using your real name and do not easily disclose personal information to strangers;

    3.网上购物时，选择合法的、信誉较高的网站交易，以防止个人账号、密码被盗，造成损失。

When shopping online, choose a legitimate and reputable websiteto prevent personal accounts and passwords from being stolen and causing losses.

     4.不要轻易将银行密码等个人信息提供给陌生人。

In order to protect privacy, never reveal any personal information such as account passwords to strangers.

     5.保管好个人财物，涉及财产交易时需谨慎；

Take good care of your personal belongings and be cautious whenit comes to property transactions;

     6.不要随意将个人护照、学生证、银行卡等重要物件转借他人，涉及洗钱、电信诈骗等违法行为将承担相应法律责任；

Do not lend your passports, student IDs,bank cards, and other important items to other people, as you will bear the responsibility for illegal acts such as moneyl aundering and telecommuni-cation fraud.

     外国人在华学习期间从事宗教活动须遵守中国的有关法律。在校园等公共场所，不能从事传教、不能组织宗教集会等活动、不允许散发宗教宣传品。

Foreigners engaged in religious activities must abide by the relevant laws of China during their study. Handing out religious leaflets,miss-ionizing and organizing religious activities or assemblies are not allowed on campus orother public places.

     学校关心关爱留学生心理自我调适能力,力图构建良好卫生的心理健康环境，针对同学们成长过程中的遇到的种种压力和困境，同学们可以第一时间联系辅导员寻求帮助，也可以向心理中心提供专业的辅导咨询，提升适应能力，发挥个人潜能。

The school cares about the psychological self-adjustment ability of international students, and tries to build a good and healthy psychological environment. In view of various pressures and difficulties encountered by students in the process of growth, students can contact their counselors for help at the first time. They can also seek professional counseling from thepsychological center to improve their adaptability and tap their personal potential.
