The Republic of Mauritius is located in East Africa, comprising the island of Mauritius and other small archipelagos. With a diversified economy and a strong financial services industry, Mauritius plays an important role in cross-border investment in emerging markets and serves as a key gateway for investment in Africa. Mauritius offers global investors a wide range of offshore investment vehicles, including companies, funds, trusts and more.
The Mauritius International Financial Centre (IFC) has been recognised by international bodies such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Union for its international financial services. Many Chinese companies choose to establish their offshore business in Mauritius, using the Mauritius IFC to set up their investment structure and mitigate their investment risks.
