荆州，你藏得好深呢！

荆州地处长江中游、江汉平原腹地，被誉为楚文化的摇篮。“荆” 是古代楚国的别名，这就是自古以来荆、楚可互换使用的缘由。此地有着浓厚的三国文化以及长江水利文化。

Lying in the middle range of the Yangtze River and the hinterland of the Jianghan Plain, Jingzhou is regarded as the cradle of the Chu culture. "Jing" is another name for the ancient State of Chu, and that is why Jing and Chu have been interchangeable since ancient times. This is a place steeped in Three Kingdoms culture and the Yangtze River water-conservationist culture.

作为中国著名的历史文化名城，荆州历史源远流长，曾有20位楚国国君定都于此。存续数百年的灿烂且独特的楚文化，为后世的中国文化留下了深深的印记。

As a famous historical and cultural city in China, Jingzhou has a very long history dating back to the 20 Chu State kings who made the city their capital. Lasting for hundreds of years brilliant and singular Chu culture has left its mark on Chinese culture for all posterity. 

始建于三国时期的荆州古城墙，如今是中国保存完好的四大古城墙之一。相传 “大禹划分天下为九州，荆国（楚国）就此诞生”。你或许能感受到，古老文化与现代文明相互映衬，增添了这座城市的光彩与魅力。

The Jingzhou Ancient City Wall, constructed in the period of the Three Kingdoms, is now well preserved one of the four corners in China. It is said to be, "King Yu divides China into nine states, and Jing State or Chu State comes into being." You may feel that the ancient culture and modern civilization add the city' s radiance and beauty.

三国时期，荆州是魏、蜀、吴三国的关键军事要地。在中国著名经典著作《三国演义》（全书共120回）中，有10多回的故事发生在湖北荆州。尤其是围绕“借荆州、守荆州、失荆州”展开的一些生动有趣的故事，使得荆州在国内外游客中颇受欢迎。

During the period of the Three Kingdoms, Jingzhou was the key military location for Wei, Shu and Wu kingdoms. In the famous Chinese classic work-- "Romance of Three Kindoms" with a total of 120 chapters, the stories of more than 10 chapters occurred in Jingzhou of Hubei. Especially, some vivid and interesting stories, centered on "Lending Jingzhou, Keeping Jingzhou and Losing Jingzhou", make Jingzhou a very popular city among the visitors both in China and around the world.

如果您想让孩子们更多地了解三国文化，荆州古城东门绝对不容错过。进入宾阳楼后，您将会看到许多三国重要人物的庄严雕像，他们分别是刘备、关羽、张飞、赵云以及诸葛亮。用不了多久，您可能就会有种仿佛穿越回三国战场的感觉，仿佛看到关羽手持青龙偃月刀，准备迎击敌军。从伟大诗人李白所写的 “一夫当关，万夫莫开” 这句诗中，您或许能清楚地体会到关羽的壮志豪情。

If you want your children to learn more about the culture of the Three Kingdoms, the East Gate of Jingzhou simply cannot be missed. After entering into the Binyang pagoda, you will be treated to a host of stately statues of the important Three Kingdoms figures, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun and Zhuge Liang. Before too long, you may just get the feeling you' ve been transported back to the Three Kingdoms battlefield with Guan Yu holding his Green Dragon Crescent Blade ready to take down enemy troops. You may understand clearly the high aspirations of Guan Yu from this poem written by the great poet Li Bai, "If one man guards the pass, ten thousand cannot get it through."

So, the next stop you must see is going to visit the Temple of Guan Yu. The legend of the "Oath of the Peach Garden" occurred in its Hall of Righteousness and Loyalty. Their true friendship that Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei shared can help young readers understand the power of the team work. Besides, the two stories about Guan Yu-Scraping the Poison off the Bone and Riding Along for Thousands of Miles, can elicit potential courage from children.

荆州方特东方神画距荆州高铁站约8公里，您可搭乘高铁前往荆州站。而且，有多条高速公路贯穿荆州，连接着上海、重庆、武汉、宜昌及其他主要城市。

Jingzhou Fangtawild Oriental Heritage is about 8 kilometers away from Jingzhou High Speed Railway Station you can take a high-speed train to Jingzhou Railway Station.  Also, there are the highways through Jingzhou linking Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan, Yichang, and other major cities.
