This forum session is jointly initiated by the Cambridge China Education Forum and the Global PhD Network in Education. High-quality academic publishing is critical to the academic development of most scholars, especially early-career researchers. Therefore, we have invited Dr. Shuling Wang to share her insights as a core journal editor on how to select the proper journals for publishing high-quality papers.

王淑玲博士 Dr Shuling Wang
王淑玲博士是南安普顿大学的讲师，同时也是批判的女性主义学者和教育工作者。她在剑桥大学获得教育学博士学位，其研究专长为教育社会学，特别关注种族、性别与英语语言教育的交叉。她最近的研究聚焦于中国女性教师与外教的合作教学经历。
王淑玲博士现任《剑桥教育学期刊》（Cambridge Journal of Education）的副主编，同时担任教育领域多个SSCI期刊的审稿人。作为一名社会活动家，她合作创立了“剑桥反亚裔种族主义小组”（Cambridge Against Anti-Asian Racism Group），“东亚与东南亚研究者与活动家网络”（East and South East Asia Researchers & Activists Network），与“种族、帝国与教育集体”（The Race, Empire and Education Collective, reecollective.co.uk）。
Dr Shuling Wang, a teaching fellow at University of Southampton, is a critical feminist scholar and educator. Shuling obtained her PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge. Her expertise is sociology of education, particularly in the intersections of race, gender and English language education. Her recent work focuses on Chinese women teachers’ encounters with whiteness.
Shuling is an associate editor for Cambridge Journal of Education and reviewers for multiple SSCI journals in the field of Education. As an activist, she is the founder of Cambridge Against anti-Asian Racism Group, co-founder of East and South East Asia Researchers& Activists Network, an organiser of The Race, Empire and Education Collective (reecollective.co.uk), and Chair of 2021 Cambridge China Education Forum.
