1.您可先通过图书馆书目检索系统https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn查询所需图书是否可借。

Check the availability of any item you want to borrow first at https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn.


2. 请使用学校 ID 卡在图书馆自助借还机或流通服务台办理借阅手续。

Items can be checked out either at self-borrowing and returning machines or at the Library Circulation Desk with your XJTLU ID card.


3. 借书时请当面检查,发现图书污损﹑残缺等情况应立即向图书馆管理员声明,并加盖印记,否则,在还书时发现以上情况,应由最后一位借书人负责。

Check the items for any damages on the spot when you borrow items from the library. Make a statement to the staff if you find any item defaced or damaged, and ask to affix the library’s seal before you check it out. Otherwise the last borrower will be fined for the damage.

NOTE

 ● 特殊馆藏、往年试卷、报纸、现刊、往年期刊不可外借,只可在馆内阅读。此外,往年试卷还可以在图书馆主页进行在线阅览(图书馆会保存过去三年的试卷,且只提供往年试卷的储存服务,不对试卷的内容提供解释、说明或者其他服务)。

Special collections, past exam papers, newspapers, current journals and bound journals are not for loan. They can only be used inside the library. Past exam papers can also be accessed online through the library homepage. (Library preserves the exam papers of the last three years and is only responsible for the storing and releasing of these past exam papers but not responsible for explaining their contents or answering any other requests.)


 ● 教学指定参考资料必须在借阅当日图书馆流通服务台关闭前归还。每个账户最多允许借阅2本教学指定参考资料。

Course Reserves items must be returned before the Library Circulation Desk closing hours on the borrowed day. Only 2 items may be requested for each account.


 ● 图书馆保留图书召回的权利,请在接到图书馆通知的3天内归还图书。

Library reserves the right to call back any book in special cases. The recalled books should be returned within 3 days after you receive a recall email from the library.

您可通过图书馆书目检索系统对已借图书进行在线续借,也可以将需要续借的图书带至图书馆自助借还机或流通服务台进行续借操作。本科生和硕士研究生对每本图书可续借5次,博士生和教职员工可无限次续借。续借图书的到期日将从续借当天开始重新计算。

Generally, borrowed items can be renewed online via the Library Catalogue System. You can also use the self-borrowing and returning machines or go to the Library Circulation Desk with the item to be renewed. Postgraduate students and undergraduate students are allowed 5 renewals on each item. Academic staff, administrative staff and PHD students have unlimited renewals on borrowed items. The due date of the renewed item will be re-calculated from the renewed date.

1. 使用学校用户名和密码通过图书馆书目检索系统https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn登录“我的图书馆”。

Login at “My Library” in the Library Catalogue System via https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn using your XJTLU username and password.



2. 在“我的图书馆”页面左侧,点击“当前借阅”。

Click “Current Borrowing” on the left side of the “My Library” page.


3. 选取您想要续借的项目后,点击“续借”。

Select the item(s) to be renewed and click the “Renew” button.


4. 若续借成功,系统自动弹出“续借成功”的提示,刷新页面后,将会显示新的图书到期日期。

The message “Renewed successfully” will be displayed if the renewal is successful. A new due date will be displayed if you refresh the web page.


如出现以下情况续借将不会成功

如果您想借阅的图书及其所有复本都已借出,您可使用图书馆书目检索系统中的“预约”功能预约该书。在校师生每人最多可预约8本图书。

If all copies of the item you want to borrow are on loan, then you can use the “Reservation” function in the Library Catalogue System to reserve the item. The reservation quota for each user is 8.


预约成功后,图书的现持有人会收到一封系统自动发送的提示邮件,被告知该书已被其他用户预约,但图书的现持有人并不需要马上归还此书,只需在该书到期前归还即可。当被预约的图书归还至图书馆时,图书馆将以邮件形式通知预约者至预约时所选择的取书地的流通服务台借阅此书。被预约的图书在服务台保留7天,逾期未借阅则预约自动取消,并视为违约。违约累计达3次者,将会被暂停使用预约服务30天。

The current user of the item will receive an email stating that the item has been reserved by another user. However, the current user of the item is not required to bring the item back to the library until the due date. A notification will be sent to the person who made the reservation when the item being requested has been returned. Please go to the Library Circulation Desk at the selected pickup location to check it out within 7 days, otherwise the reservation will be automatically cancelled. Please note that failure to pick up your reserved items for 3 times would result in temporary suspension of reservation service privilege for 30 days.


如何在线预约图书?

2. 点击“书目检索”,在搜索栏中通过题名、作者、索书号或ISBN等查询图书。

Click “Search” and search the item by title, author, call number or ISBN, etc.


3. 在搜索结果页面点击相关的图书链接,查看该图书的详细信息。

Click on your desired item in the search results to check its detailed information.


4. 在该图书的详细信息页中,点击“预约信息”。

Click “Reservation” at the detail page of the item.


5. 选择您的“取书地”,并执行“预约”,完成后点击“提交”。

Select your preferred pickup location in the drop-down menu and click “Reserve”; once you finished, click the “Submit” button.


6. 若预约成功,系统会自动弹出“预约成功!您可以通过‘我的图书馆’查看预约记录”的提示。

The message “Reserved successfully! You can check the reservation record via ‘My Library’.” will be displayed if the reservation is successful.

Log in at “My Library” in the Library Catalogue System via https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn using your university username and password.


2. 在“我的图书馆”页面左侧,点击“预约信息”。

Click “Reservation” on the left side of the “My Library” page.


3. 选取您想要取消预约的项目,然后点击“取消”。

Select the reservation(s) you want to cancel, and click the “Cancel” button.

INTER-BRANCH BOOK DELIVERY

为满足苏州园区校园和太仓校园师生对异地馆藏和密集书库馆藏的需求,图书馆提供两校区间的“委托借阅”服务。对于本校园图书馆无馆藏或可借复本已被全部借出,但在其他校园图书馆有馆藏且为“可借”状态的图书;或者馆藏地为“密集书库”的图书,您可通过图书馆书目检索系统中的“委托借阅”功能申请该书。在校师生每人最多可委托借阅8本图书。

XJTLU Library offers "Inter-Branch Book Delivery" service between SIP Campus and Taicang Campus. If all copies of the item you want to borrow are not available or they are on loan on your campus, and the item on other campuses is in the status of "in stock"; or if the item you need is from “Restricted Resources”, then you can use the “Inter-Branch Delivery” function in the Library Catalogue System to request the item. The Inter-Branch Delivery quota for each user is 8.


委托借阅申请有效期为7天。如因特殊情况图书馆未能找到您所申请的图书,您会收到申请被取消的邮件通知。当委托借阅的图书到馆后,图书馆将以邮件形式通知您至申请时所选择的取书地的流通服务台借阅此书。委托借阅的图书在服务台保留7天,逾期未借阅则申请自动取消,并视为违约。违约累计达3次者,将会被暂停使用委托借阅服务30天。

The Inter-Branch Book Delivery request is valid for 7 days. You will receive an email notification for request cancellation if the requested item(s) cannot be found. A reminder will be sent to you when the requested item(s) is/are ready for collection. Please go to the Library Circulation Desk at the selected pickup location to check it out within 7 days. Otherwise, the Inter-Branch Book Delivery request will be automatically cancelled. Please note that failure to pick up the requested items for 3 times would result in temporary suspension of your Inter-Branch Book Delivery service privilege for 30 days.

The message “Request successfully! You can check the processing status in ‘My Library’.” will be displayed if the request is successful.


如出现以下情况委托借阅将不会成功

如何在线取消委托借阅?

1. 使用学校用户名和密码通过图书馆书目检索系统https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn登录“我的图书馆”。

Log in at “My Library” in the Library Catalogue System via https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn using your university username and password.


2. 在“我的图书馆”页面左侧,点击“委托信息”。

Click “Inter-Branch Delivery” on the left side of the “My Library” page.


3. 选取您想要取消委托借阅的项目,然后点击“取消”。

Select the requested item(s) you want to cancel, and click the “Cancel” button.

如果图书超期归还,会怎样?

建议你按时归还图书,或者及时续借。一旦图书超期,在归还图书时,就需要承担相应的违约金。

您可以使用自助借还机、24小时还书机,或前往图书馆流通服务台归还所借图书。教学指定参考资料、已被预约的图书、委托借阅的图书以及异地馆藏的图书请至图书馆流通服务台归还。

Borrowed items can be returned by yourself at self-borrowing and returning machines or at 24-Hour Easy Return Machines. You can also return items at the Library Circulation Desk. For course reserves, reserved books, inter-branch delivery books and books owned by the library of other campuses, please return them to the Library Circulation Desk.


您可通过图书馆书目检索系统https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn登录“我的图书馆”查看您所借图书的还书日期。建议您在还书日期前归还或续借图书,以避免因超期产生违约金。

You can login at “My Library” via https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn to keep track of when you need to return the items you have on loan. You are advised to return or renew items before the due date in order to avoid any overdue fine.


图书馆对寒暑假中图书借期做了延期设置,以避免寒暑假中部分用户因离开学校不能到馆归还图书,而使得借阅图书产生超期的情况。

Library will extend the loan period for items during summer and winter holidays in order to avoid any overdue fine (if you are outside the university campus and cannot return the items).


违约金

FINES

所借图书或其他资料没有按时归还,将按照每本每天0.2元人民币的标准处以违约金。在没有付清应缴违约金之前,用户将不能继续借阅其他的图书或资料。

0.2 RMB per item per day will be charged for any overdue item. Library users may not be allowed to borrow any books if there are unpaid fines in their account.


在所借图书已被预约的情况下,应按时归还。否则,将按照每本每天0.5元人民币的标准处以违约金。

If the book on loan is requested or reserved by someone else, it should be returned by the due date. 0.5 RMB will be charged per item per day if the returning is delayed.


所借图书或其他资料遗失,图书馆建议丢失图书的用户自行重购相同版本或新版图书赔偿,并收取文献加工费5元;无法重购者,需要按照原价格的2倍金额赔偿(图书价格参考图书馆书目检索系统中的购买记录)。

If the item on loan is lost, we encourage that a new book with the same or newer version should be purchased by the users themselves and 5 RMB will be charged to cover the cost for book processing. Or the user who lost the book shall pay the fine which will be twice the item’s value (the price of the book is shown in the Library Catalogue System).


如果用户以购买新书的方式完成赔书手续后,又找到了原来丢失的图书,则用户不能将新购买的图书取回,原有图书归其所有,图书馆员工将撕掉原有图书上的条码。

If an item was lost by the user and the compensation has been settled by the replacement with a new book, but the original copy is then found, the user may keep the original book after the barcode has been removed by library staff.


如果用户以图书双倍价格赔偿的方式完成赔书手续后,又找到了原来丢失的图书,可联系图书馆3楼流通服务台员工进行处理。

If an item was lost by the user and the compensation has been settled by twice the price of the item, but the original copy is then found, the user may contact staff at Library Circulation Desk on the 3rd floor.
