1.就近原则：
【1】either...or...不是...就是...
【2】neither...nor...既不...也不...
【3】not only...but（also）不仅...而且...
【4】There be...
e.g. Neither Lily nor her parentslike the TV show.
1. Either you or heis right.
2. Neither you nor he is right.
3. Not only you but also he is right.
4. Both you and he are right.
就远原则：
【1】表示“和”：with，along with，together with，as well as
e.g. Lily with her parents is at home.
【2】“除了’：but，except，besides
e.g. Everyone except you is at home.
【3】like，including...
2.大量
可数：many，a number of，quite a few
不可数：much，a great deal of，a large amount of，quite a little
均可：a lot of，lots of，plenty of
3.until与not...until...
【1】until要与延续性动词搭配，翻译为：直到
e.g. I waited for her until she came.
【2】not...until与非延续性动词搭配，翻译为：直到...才
e.g. I didn’t go to bed until she came.
4.set 词义：
【1】v.放置：set the chair by the table
【2】v.设置/调整：set my watch by the TV
【3】v.下沉：set in the west（sun）
【4】n.一组/一套：a set of chairs
【5】adj.固定的：a set number of words
短语：
【1】set the table摆放餐具
【2】set the example for...为...树立榜样

e.g. We set up a new hospital.
