Our connection with artwork requires a significant investment of attention and time. The artwork exists in a different, slow temporality, so we must "slow down" ourselves to engage with it. However, this becomes extremely difficult in our highly distracted environment filled with push notifications and visual/auditory noises.

The concept of a "Listening Session" is simple: we choose one music album for each session and listen to it from start to finish in Cedar.
• The album will be proposed and voted by the participants
• We will listen to the album in the dark to reduce distractions with our phones turned off. Carpets, cushions, and air fragrances will be provided for an immersive experience.
• Listeners are encouraged to note down their thoughts in any format. Pens, drawing materials, and paper will be provided. After listening, we will discuss the album.

1. It is about a collective art experience, where we will listen to the same music piece together and discuss it collectively.
2. It is about a holistic music experience. The entire album is a complete art statement. Currently, we tend to listen to music piecemeal (by tracks or in DJ sets), which causes us to lose sight of the artistic statement the artist intended when creating the album.
3. It is about discovering new music and sharing music that you respect with others. We don't have any genre limits.
4. It is about listening to the music without distractions.
