LAI of University of Bergen, Bergen, Norway
https://www.uib.no/en/rg/lai
The Logic and Artificial Intelligence group studies the foundations of reasoning about information in socio-technical systems of interacting agents. We consider interactions with both humans and computational agents. Our work finds applications in various subfields of artificial intelligence and multi-agent systems, in particular in logic-based knowledge representation and reasoning. Key interests of our research include pure and applied modal logic (especially epistemic and strategic), machine ethics and normative systems, aggregation of information, judgments and preferences, reasoning about social networks, and networks of text and people. Currently, the LAI has 3 professors, 3 associate professors, 1 postdoc, and 3 Ph.D. students. The head of the LAI is Professor Thomas Ågotnes.

The Institute of Logic and Intelligence was founded in 2004 as a center for the study of theoretical and applied logic, with a Ph.D. program. The ILI has become a focus of innovation in research and academic management, and was named the Key Liberal Science Research Institute of Chongqing in December 2006. We have close collaborations with researchers in artificial intelligence, cognitive science, psychology, linguistics, and sociology, and have hundreds of publications in the areas of modern logic, artificial intelligence, linguistics, social network analysis, and the logic of philosophy. Currently, the ILI has 3 professors, 2 associate/assistant professors, 1 postdoc, 7 Ph.D. students. The director of the ILI is Professor Meiyun Guo.
