About Kendal China
Established in 2014 when two outdoor enthusiasts and professional photographers, Amanda Lu & Tiger Li subsequently brought numerous Kendal Mountain branded events back to China and duly created 'Kendal China' as the exclusive licensed Asia business partner, sharing adventure stories from home and overseas under the 'Kendal' banner.
In past decade, Kendal China has been dedicated in promting outdoor sport, culture and life style in China. And Kendal Mountain Film Tour is the most important event.

Most of the films are in English, with a few in French and 1 in German. All films have Chinese subtitles. Non-English films also have English sutbtitles.
2. Children
(1)Child with height below 1.3m is allowed free entrance with adult(s), no seat of their own.
* One adult is only allowed with one tickect-free child
(2)Each session is 100-120min, and we usually suggest parents to bring children of age of 6 or more. Younger ones are also welcome if they are experienced cenima audiance. =)

Lukas has a unique motivation to climb the 7 Summits of the Alps. Reaching the summit is only one part of the goal - setting up and walking across a slackline close to the mountaintop. The journey starts on top of Germany at the Zugspitze and leads Lukas and his team from France to Slovenia. A new film from Sherpas Cinema. At a remote backcountry cabin, a veteran mountain guide and his daughter connect and reflect upon a lifetime in the mountains. A torch is being passed within their family’s legacy of guides as they discuss the history of those that have come and gone, some too soon. Avalanche accidents have been happening in the mountains since humans first started traveling within them and we learn about this evolution of winter recreation and avalanche safety.
Stories unfold, from the early pioneers to modern day hard charging enthusiasts, and we hear from several characters including those with life shattering events. Many of these stories share striking similarities that those who follow can learn from.

Two gritty teams of hobbyist explorers are on the cusp of discovering new territory. Katie Graham is an accountant by day who is obsessed with the Bisaro Anima cave in the Rocky Mountains, and she is willing to risk it all to achieve a caving depth record that depends on a successful scuba dive. Further west on Vancouver Island is Franck Tuot, who sacrifices weekends away from his young family with the goal of linking two tunnel systems that will mark the longest-known cave in Canada.
Regardless of whether they are successful in their missions, understanding their motivations and dedication is what makes their pursuits so compelling. The film tells the story of the Schneeberger family a.k.a The 9 Wheels (Les9Roues). Mountain bike stars of the future, Emric (10) and Raoul (13) are home schooled by their parents Toni and Laetitia. They live in their motorhome, going from bike park to bike park across Europe, a decision prompted by the discovery of a neurodegenerative disease in Laetitia. This film explores what it is like to live with a disability, brotherly love, the devotion of parents and ultimately, what it is like to live life one day at a time. Hélias Millerioux, Frédéric Degoulet and Benjamin Guigonnet are dreaming of opening a new extreme route on the legendary south face of Nuptse. A wall approaching 8000m in the heart of the Himalayas. "Nuptse l'inaccessible absolu" or the obsessive quest of three French mountaineers trapped in their desire for a summit.
They practised an genuine alpine style climb in the great Himalayas, leaving an epic route on Nuptse south face as well as on the record of the Piolet d'Or award list.

In love with images and the cold, the wildlife photographer Jérémie Villet travels alone through the white deserts of the northern hemisphere with his pulka and his telephoto lens, looking for animals that survive in extreme cold.
During his upcoming expedition in the Canadian North, Jérémie is about to explore the wild and extreme Yukon region, with the ultimate goal of photographing the legendary mountain goat. The difficulty of access to the mountain territories where this animal evolves and the freezing temperatures will make the task challenging.
Carried by adventures and unique human and animal encounters, this documentary allows us to enter the photographer's intimacy and to approach with delicacy this changing world.
Winner of 21 awards and 45 official selection of international film festivals.
El Gavilán
Rock Climbing / 20'
Rising out of the arid Mexican Desert lies a 900 ft ship’s prow of elegant limestone sporting a 9-pitch 5.13 established in the 90s by Jeff Jackson. A cutting-edge big wall free climb at the time, this route shut down hard men for years. Shrouded in mysticism, the bolts rusted and the holds collected dust until a couple of young gals from Canada decided to give it a try.
Screenings on 10.19-20 include a 20-25 min speaker session & interaction after the film.
