The electricity sector is at the heart of China's decarbonization challenge. Along with continued growth in renewables, there have also been impressive developments in the scope of electricity markets. Today, fully 2/3 of electricity sold in China is through a market-based mechanism. These markets, if created properly, have the potential to help integrate these renewables and have important impacts on the grid's reliability in the face of increasing threats of power outages.
电力行业是中国实现低碳转型的关键领域。随着可再生能源的快速增长，中国电力市场建设也取得了显著进展。目前，全国约三分之二的电力交易已通过市场化方式完成。一个完善的电力市场不仅能有效促进可再生能源的消纳，还能在电力供应受到冲击时大幅提升电网的可靠性。
In this talk, Michael Davidson will discuss what is in that two-thirds, what markets are currently in operation, being piloted, and being planned for the future. Relevant international experiences with enhancing markets to achieve decarbonization and reliability objectives will also be covered.
在本次圆桌会议中，戴蔚森博士将深入探讨中国电力市场化交易的现状、试点项目及未来发展规划。此外，他还将结合相关国际经验，分析如何构建一个高效完善的电力市场，以助力实现脱碳目标并确保电力供应的稳定可靠。
