馬軻
1970年生於山東淄博，1994年畢業於天津美術學院繪畫系，獲學士學位，1994至2002年任教於天津美術學院油畫系，1998至1999年借調文化部赴東北非厄立特里亞援教，2005年畢業於中央美術學院油畫系第四工作室，獲得碩士學位。現生活與工作於北京。
馬軻沒有把自己限制在單一的思維過程中，也沒有考慮更宏大的敘事。相反，他轉向更分散的現實，並試圖表達其複雜性。他的繪畫呈現出一種被建構的現實，一種被認為理所當然、沮喪的“現實”，類似於一種精神上的寓言。在他最近的作品中，藝術家將他的“現實感”濃縮成一個神秘的、無法解釋的領域。
Chinese, b.1970, Zibo, Shandong. Ma Ke graduated from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Painting Department, BA in 1994 and teaching at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Oil Painting Department until to 2002. Then he graduated from Forth Studio, Central Academy of Fine Arts, MFA in 2005. Between 1998-1999, he seconded to the Ministry of Culture and posted to Eritrea as a teacher. Currently lives and works in Beijing.
Ma Ke does not restrict him to a single thought process, nor is he concerned with a greater narralive. Instead, he turns to a more fragmented type of reality and seeks to express its complexities. His paintings present a constructed reality, a dejected 'reality' that we take for granted,resembles a spiritual allegory. In his more recent works, the artist condenses his sense of 'reality' into an enigmatic and inexplicable realm.

About the Gallery
PIFO Gallery concentrates on the participation of the course of Chinese contemporary art and the exploration of post-war European master artists and seeking for all possibilities of art power in the dialogue and collision between the two aspects. As a major gallery in China specialized in the study and promotion of abstract art, and also the main institution to continuously explore the various possibilities of figurative art at present, PIFO is convinced that the experience of art emerges from the new world created by one revolution after another; The artist's work is the third eye to explore the world. For collectors, PIFO provides expertise and encourages them to explore their own unique perspective because only the combination of the two can make a great collection.
