主讲人介绍
Chiara Bertulessi 贝莲娜
Chiara Bertulessi is an assistant professor at the University of Insubria, Como, Italy. From 2021 to 2024, she was a postdoctoral researcher in Chinese Studies at the University of Milan. She obtained her PhD from the University of Milan with a thesis in critical Chinese lexicography and authored a monograph analysing the Modern Chinese Dictionary (现代汉语词典) from this scholarly perspective. Her research and publications aim to investigate the interconnections between language, discourse, and ideology in the context of contemporary China, with particular reference to the areas of political and media discourse, lexicography, and terminology.

讲座摘要
This seminar explores theoretical and methodological aspects of analysing climate change discourse as it is shaped in international contexts, focusing particularly on speeches, statements, and messages delivered by government representatives during meetings and other initiatives organised under the framework of the United Nations. The first part of the seminar examines and critically discusses a range of approaches and methodologies, with special attention to the diverse field of (critical) discourse analysis. The second part adopts a practical perspective, offering examples of how these frameworks and methodologies can be applied to the analysis of a corpus of speeches on climate change and climate action.
