欧阳耀明出生于广东的惠州，在青年时期，他有相当一部分时间在海边度过。作为一个香港身份的广东仔，定居在北京这个北方城市的欧阳耀明总是透着一股松弛感，一股似港片中在海边骑着摩托兜风的社会青年气质，但同时，欧阳耀明又是无比细腻，对生活中的每个细节，他总是能转化为一种享受和热爱。他并不善言辞去阐释升华他的创作，但是他的某种直接，对于某些不起眼的物件或是景观的感受，并将这个过程，真实并享受地表现成画作，这种单纯的创作动机，成了如今艺术界的一股清流。

Ouyang Yaoming was born in Huizhou, Guangdong, and spent a considerable amount of his youth by the seaside. As a Hong Kong-born Guangdong native settled in Beijing, Ouyang Yaoming always exudes a sense of relaxation, reminiscent of the youthful spirit seen in Hong Kong films of riding motorcycles by the sea. At the same time, Ouyang Yaoming is incredibly delicate; he can transform every detail of life into a source of enjoyment and love. He is not adept at articulating the sublimation of his creations, but his directness in perceiving certain inconspicuous objects or landscapes and expressing them truthfully and joyfully in his paintings has become a refreshing trend in the art world today.
In understanding Ouyang Yaoming's paintings, Bergson's concept of "Virtual" provides an interesting perspective. In Bergson's philosophy, "Virtual" is the concept opposed to "appearance". It refers to a dynamic force or entity existing in the real world, which cannot be directly perceived or understood. It includes time, consciousness, and the inner forces of life. Ouyang Yaoming's paintings contain unique depictions of everyday still lifes and landscapes, anthropomorphic small objects, chairs by the seaside, tables on the beach, a piece of soap, and so on. Ouyang Yaoming was born in Huizhou, Guangdong in 1991. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2015 and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2018 with a master's degree. He currently works and lives in Beijing and Yanjiao. His works are mainly based on easel painting, with the emotional state of daily life as the anchor point, and he extracts some simple and formal objects to create, trying to create a real yet virtual visual experience.
