MBBS - Program Introduction
Our university is one of the universities accredited by the Ministry of Education of China to recruit Bachelor degree of Clinical Medicine Program (taught in English) of international students, and has been recruiting students since September 2010. This program aims at training international medical elites with solid foundation of medical knowledge, superb clinical skills and good professional qualities according to the international standards for medical education and the Provisional Regulations stipulated by the Ministry of Education on quality control standards for the undergraduate medical education (in English medium) of international students in China. The program also pays attention to some special requirements of certain countries where the majority of the students are from. The program duration is 6 years which includes one year internship, and is awarded the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in English.
MBBS - Charging Standard
1. Tuition: RMB 30,000/academic year; 6 years in total;
2. Accommodation fee: RMB 4,000 - 6,000 / person / academic year;
3. Other fees including textbook costs, board expenses, medical expenses, utility bills, drinking water charges, internet charges, medical insurance expenses, visa extension expenses, etc. shall be paid accordingly by the international students.
MBBS - Admission Requirements
1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate.
2. Applicants should be 18-25 years old with a high school diploma or above.
3. Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy, and meet the medical examination standards for applying for a study visa or residence permit in China.
4. Applicants should be friendly to China, with excellent grades and good conduct, without any record of violation of school rules and regulations, nor any record of public security punishment or criminal record.
5. Applicant’s language proficiency must meet the following requirements: English language proof is not required for native English speakers. Applicants from non-English-speaking countries must reach a score above 6.0 in IELTS (5.0 or above for each item) or 70 in TOEFL (15 or above for each item); or provide other comparable certificates proving English proficiency (70 or above). Applicants from non-English-speaking countries who receive the last degree with the instruction in English are exempt from submitting the English proficiency certificates, but the certificate of English medium issued by the school graduated from shall be provided.
MBBS - Application Materials
1. Scanned copy of valid passport’s information page;
2. Scanned copy of Highest Academic Degree Certificate, scanned copies of transcript of all courses during the highest academic degree education (original one and English-translated one);
3. ID photo (2-inch blue background photo without hats);
4. Scanned copy of Foreigner’s Physical Examination Form completed in Chinese or English;
5. Self-introduction video in English (3-4 minutes, no more than 50M);
6. Certificate of Language proficiency;
7. Financial Guarantee Letter and scanned copies of its supporting documents completed in Chinese or English;
8. Original Authorization to the Guardian (for the applicants under the age of 18 by October 20, 2024) needs to be notarized with signatures. If not notarized in China, the endorsement of local Chinese Embassy is required;
9. Non-fresh graduates are required to provide a resume.
