昨天收到GMAT数学全程班一位学员的私信，说自己总分不清倍数表达，希望我能再总结一下。回答完她的问题后帮主觉得这个问题确实好，尤其对数学基础相对薄弱的同学而言，真是个易错点。
所以遍历了OG综合、OG300难题数学150题、Prep必做三大备考必做材料，帮主把其中涉及到倍数，且有一定难度的表达全部放在文末，供大家阅读和练习哦。如果你对倍数表达有困惑，看完这篇文章就豁然开朗了。
先总结下倍数表达4种常见形式，和1种相关但不同的变体
引例 A是B的3倍
A is three times as many as B;
The number of A is three times the number of B;
帮主快评：最直观、简单的表达，不会理解反
3. There are three times as many A as B;
帮主快评：容易理解反，注意是A=3B，而非B=3A
4. A is three times more/greater than B.
帮主快评：最容易理解错的表达，意思是A=3B，而非A=4B；中文里，当我们说A比B多3倍时，更多时候是指A是B的4倍，但英文Native speaker说话没这么“讲究”，约定俗成的意思就是A=3B，请大家作为固定用法记住。
5. A is 300 percent greater than B【4变体】
帮主快评：这里大家可能要心里打鼓了，如果按照4的理解，5和4岂不是一样，也表达A=3B？非也，4是真真切切地倍数表达，因为出现了“times”，但是5中的表达是百分比表达，所以5回归到了“正常人类”的思路，和咱们中文理解一致了。A比B多300%，列式即A=（1+300%）*B，也就是A是B的400%！因此4和5的区别，请大家分清楚！
有了上述说明，我们接下来就来练习官方材料中的倍数表达，请阅读下面的文本，并用数学表达式表达：
1. The committee awarded twice as many $2,500 scholarships as $4,000 scholarships, and it awarded three times as many $1,250 scholarships as $2,500 scholarships.
2. the constant rate of one pump was 1.5 times the constant rate of the other.
3. The total amount of money that she had saved at the end of the year was 3 times the amount of that portion of her monthly take-home pay that she did not save.
4. City X has a population 4 times as great as the population of City Y.
5. Each of the 2 owners received 3 times as much as each of their 10 employees.
6. the length of the longest piece of rope is 14 centimeters more than 4 times the length of the shortest piece of rope.
7. There are exactly 20 executive offices and each of these occupies 3 times as much floor space as the average for all of the remaining offices.
8. A is twice as efficient as B, and B is three times as efficient as C.
9. Last year the manufacturer sold twice as many units of Q as P.
10. the lesser of the two numbers is 4 less than twice the greater.
11. the store sells about twice as many blue T-shirts as it does green T-shirts.
