Mississauga welcomes Midea’s first Canadian HVAC showroom and training hub
December 6, 2024 – Global appliance manufacturer Midea opened its first Canadian showroom and training centre in Mississauga, Ont., to showcase its various HVAC solutions while supporting Canadian sales.
“The Mississauga showroom opening—and plans to open more in Canada—demonstrate Midea’s commitment to making our innovative and sustainable heat pump solutions accessible to Canadian homeowners,” said senior product manager David Rames.
Spanning 23,000 sq. ft, the facility allows visitors to explore the company’s heat pump technologies, such as the EVOX G3 system and HPWH (heat pump water heater).
The showroom will also serve as a training hub for local contractors to help ensure “high standards in installation and maintenance are upheld”.
“Our new showroom in Mississauga marks an important step in Midea’s commitment to providing Canadians with the same industry-leading heat pump technology that Americans have been upgrading to,” said Phil Huang, director of North America, Midea Residential Air-Conditioning.
Midea launches advanced heat pumps in Canada
Midea is enhancing its presence in Canada with a new range of high-performance heat pump systems designed to meet the country’s extreme climate needs. The company’s offerings, including the EVOX G3 heat pump and heat pump water heaters, are engineered to provide efficient heating and cooling even in temperatures as low as -30°C. Midea’s technology, which supports both ducted and ductless systems, offers easy upgrades without requiring full system replacements.
The expansion includes the opening of Midea’s first Canadian showroom in Mississauga, which will also serve as a training center for contractors. This move aligns with Canada’s climate goals, offering consumers access to energy-efficient solutions that qualify for various national and regional incentives. Midea plans further showroom expansions across Canada to support growing demand for sustainable home technologies.
