On January 10th, the reporter learned from the China Geological Survey of the Ministry of Natural Resources that the bureau, together with China Petroleum Changqing Oilfield Branch, China Nuclear Industry Geological Bureau, and provincial geological exploration units, has made a major breakthrough in uranium exploration in the Jingchuan area of the Ordos Basin, with a resource reserve scale of large scale.

On January 14th, the Ministry of Natural Resources held a press conference on the important achievements of the new round of breakthrough strategic actions in mineral exploration. New discoveries have been made in conventional oil and gas and uranium exploration, and significant breakthroughs have been made in unconventional oil and gas such as deep coalbed methane and ultra deep water natural gas. The newly discovered geological reserves of oil, natural gas, shale gas, and coalbed methane are 5.7 billion tons, 3.9 trillion cubic meters, 1.3 trillion cubic meters, and 700 billion cubic meters, respectively.

On January 10th, the low-pressure horizontal well negative pressure sand suction technology independently developed by the Engineering Technology Research Institute of PetroChina Coalbed Methane Company has been successfully applied in two wells in the Baode block, effectively solving the problems of low coal seam pressure, serious leakage, and inability to flush sand after long-term production of coalbed methane, and providing technical support for high and stable production of coalbed methane.
【Technological innovation and equipment construction】
On January 14th, the Ministry of Natural Resources held a press conference and officially launched the first ocean drilling vessel, the "Dream", which was independently designed and built; Crustal No.1 has advanced into the depths of the Earth; We have independently developed a full range of technical equipment and geophysical software systems such as airborne gravity and aeromagnetic vector, and created the third-generation comprehensive airborne geophysical exploration technology system; A multi-scale geochemical mapping technology system has been formed.
