Between November 9 and 15, a total of 20 licensing and collaboration agreements were signed worldwide. In the China biotech sector, there were three out-licensing and three domestic deals.
The leading out-licensing deal was between LaNova and Merck Co. for the oncology asset LM-299, with a total value of $3.288 billion and an upfront payment of $588 million. In the domestic market, the top deal involved Biostar Technologies and Baheal Medical, which secured an agreement for the approved asset utedilone with a $7 million upfront payment.
Globally, 14 additional licensing and collaboration deals were signed. The top global deal was between Schrödinger and Novartis, centered on preclinical stage assets and valued at $2.422 billion, with an upfront payment of $150 million.
