The Atmospheric Science & Engineering Laboratory is seeking a full-time postdoctoral scholar to join the team. The research will focus on (1) the development of novel instrument for rapid measurements of aerosol size spectrum onboard manned and unmanned aircraft, and (2) deployment of the instrument for improved understanding of aerosol processes. Postdoctoral position at Washington University in St. Louis
One postdoctoral scholar position is available in Prof. Jian Wang’s group in the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. The research will focus on (1) the development of novel instrument for rapid measurements of aerosol size spectrum onboard manned and unmanned aircraft, and (2) deployment of the instrument for improved understanding of aerosol processes.
The successful candidates are expected to have a background in aerosol research and strong experimental skills. Demonstrated commitment to publication of results and strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Previous experience with instrument development and field measurements are highly desirable. Review of applications begins immediately. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. The initial appointment will be one year, with the expectation of annual renewal for at least one year contingent upon satisfactory performance.
