On November 15, Chinese Ambassador to Australia Xiao Qian delivered a speech at the China-Australia High-quality Development and Economic Cooperation Forum in Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of President Xi Jinping's State Visit to Australia and the Establishment of China-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Ambassador Xiao Qian said that the China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership is rich in connotation and significant, opening up a wide-range, multi-level, all-round high-level cooperation between the two countries, which is of decisive significance to the stable development of China-Australia relations.
During his visit to Australia, President Xi Jinping announced the substantial conclusion of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement negotiations, which has significantly raised the level of bilateral trade liberalization and pushed the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries into the fast lane for the benefit of the two peoples.
In the past two years, under the strategic leadership of the leaders of the two countries, China-Australia relations have returned to the right track. We look forward to the joint efforts of the business community of both sides to explore the potential of cooperation in traditional and emerging areas, and on the basis of a stable and improving relationship, to contribute to the further development of China-Australia relations.
