On November 15, Chinese Ambassador to Australia Xiao Qian attended the China-Australia High-quality Development and Economic Cooperation Forum in Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of President Xi Jinping's State Visit to Australia and the Establishment of China-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Representatives from the business community held in-depth discussions on China-Australia cooperation in traditional and emerging areas.
Representatives of the business community believe that the close and fruitful cooperation between China and Australia in traditional areas such as energy and mining, agriculture, education, and finance over the past ten years has fully demonstrated the highly complementary nature of the Chinese and Australian economies. The Chinese market is crucial to Australia, and there is great potential for both sides to deepen cooperation in traditional areas to promote high-quality development.
Australia and China have already developed good cooperation in emerging areas such as healthcare, green energy, and decarbonization. The two countries have complementary advantages in technology, talent, and markets in their respective fields, and working together will create greater development opportunities for both sides.
The Australian and Chinese business communities look forward to further strengthening the foundation and exploring the potential of cooperation in traditional areas, expanding and deepening cooperation in emerging areas, and jointly promoting stable and far-reaching bilateral economic and trade relations.
